    The Red Sox are only 7-6 in Crochet’s starts, so even if he pitches well, and they lose it will just be just another loss, and no different than the team other loses when he’s pitched.🤭

    As I’ve stated many times the 2020 team definitely had a crap season that wouldn’t have been any better under Cora IMO. The 2020 team also had talent on it like Bogey, Raffy, and JD to name three, and ERod, and Sale came back too, so I don’t give Cora all the Credit like you, and others do for 2021. MSNS.

    I was never against the Red Sox taking Raffy off 3B, but I just didn’t think they would do it this soon. I also didn’t think Raffy would want to do it. Right on 1 thing, and wrong on the other.

    I know Vlad Jr just signed a massive contract, but when Raffy signed his $300M+ contract 1B, and certainly not a DH we’re getting that kind of contracts. To me Raffy was signed as a 3B.

    It’s not just that, but McAdams reported that Raffy asked management about the rumors of Bregman, or Arenado coming to Boston, and he was told it was just media speculation.

    How is cleaning house on Cora, and his coaching staff giving up? New voices, and maybe a new way of doing things might be just what the doctor ordered unless of course you are happy watching what’s going on now. I don’t give up until the team is mathematically eliminated, but we all know you can’t Say the same..

    Last year Bailey was called a magician on here, but after listening to Buehler last night it sounds like Bailey has him all messed up on what to throw.

    All I’m saying is that things haven’t worked now for 4 years, and maybe some new voices in that clubhouse would be a breath of fresh air, and sometimes that’s all you need. To me all of Cora’s postgame pressers have worn thin.

    I still don’t think Cora’s days are numbered, but they should be. Cora said himself that things aren’t getting better, and he doesn’t know what to do, but show up. You can’t keep saying we’ve got to do better, and we competed right?, and last night we got into their BP even though we didn’t win the game. It’s not just that they are losing, but the way they are losing for the 4th year in a row now playing bad fundamental baseball. Bailey, Fatse, and Teck, and all his notebooks can follow out the door too.

    Not all errors are the same. You could look at the box score from last nights game, and see that Duran was charged with an error, but if you watched the game the good old eye test told you what happened. The eye test can tell you so much such as Bregman could very easily have two more throwing errors charged to him that the eye test showed you, but the official scorer awarded the batter a hit that even had the Yuckers in the NESN booth befuddled, so I agree fielding percentage isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, and there different kind of errors that the eye test if available can differentiate.

    That’s happened with more than one team through the years, and a little Morgan Magic wasn’t bad either.

    Cora to some like yourself is still living off 2018 with a stacked, and a once in a lifetime season.

    I think most teams wouldn’t have hired Cora back in the first place. I also think most teams would fired Cora by now, and most would definitely not given Cora any extension? Like Cora has said in the past the only thing that matters is what the team does, or doesn’t do in October, so yes wins is the bottom line, and right now the postseason looks like a long way away, which would be the 4th year in a row.

    Playing a position, and playing a position well are two different things.

    Like I said in another thread. As bad as the Red Sox played against the Angels it wouldn’t surprise me if the Red Sox took 2-3 against the Yankees this weekend.

    Daddy is not going to fire Cora, and Brez doesn’t have the power to do so IMO.

    Getting back to the real world everyone in the AL East has gone 8-2, or 7-3 the last 10 games except the Red Sox who has stumbled, and fumbled to a 3-7. Baltimore has gained 5 games on Boston, and is only 2 games back of Boston in the L column. Despite all this it wouldn’t surprise me if the Red Sox take at least 2 from the Yankees this weekend, .
