    I’m more worried about Story’s glove than his bat as Story started off slow last year, and then picked things up with the bat.He’s had long stretches before of not hitting, and lots of K’s, so I don’t think Cora is to worried yet. It seems I mentioned something before the season that Story batting second didn’t work out so well before, and he needs to move down the order more at the very least.

    I was all for Story to move to 2B after last season, but I think the Red Sox didn’t have any faith in Mayer being a full time player yet due to his injury problems. I am surprised Story hasn’t had a day off yet, which maybe will come today.

    You can write Alonso, and Bregman off if you like if it makes you feel better about the Boston players , but they don’t play for BOston.

    I take it it’s not good, so this shows how bad the Red Sox have really bad out there.

    Congrats to the 2026 Boston Red Sox that it only took them 9 games, and go 2-7, which they now have the worst record in baseball, and all to themselves. What makes you feel better that the Red SOx will go on a run, and get back to 500 Breslow’s interview with the Yuckers on NESN yesterday, or Cora saying we’ve got to play better for the endless amount of times?🤔

    Yes Duran did get a lot of ink on here for his power output in ST/WBC. How do you like me now?🤫

    Cora said yesterday right now the Red Sox prefer Duran’s defense over Anthony, and that Anthony’s footwork is off. Remember after Anthony’s first game in Boston last year they had him out in the outfield teaching him how to field ground balls. Not a good sign that the Red Sox prefer Duran over Anthony in the outfield. Sounds like Roman The Great still might be a little suspect.🤔 Masa even scheduled to play LF today over Anthony who is DH.

    Weather does not look good today in Boston, so I’d be surprised any game is played.

    It’s only been 8 games, but as of right now the Red Sox at 2-6 have the worst record in all of baseball tied with the A’s, and Rockies. Getting to 500 at the moment looks like a BIG challenge let alone trying to catch the Yankees.🤔

    Yes LF again for Duran. Cora has already come out, and said Duran is not going to be a full time DH.🤔

    I agree on the move, but it seems Cora had a hard enough time deciding where Durbin, and Mayer would play.

    I don’t think the WBC was a problem for the Red Sox start. The Red SOX haven’t been above 500 at the 20 game mark since 2018.

    If the length, and money were the same who do you think the Red Sox would have preferred Alonso, or Con Man? The Red Sox did offer Alonso a contract first.

    Barring an injury to either I think Alonso will have more HR, and RBI, which is what I care about.

    He was a settle, and cheaper than Alonso.

    I said in the beginning of being on here that I wouldn’t have hired Cora back the first place, and I still feel the same today. I like Cora, but I think he’s way overrated as a Manager, because of 2018. Farrell won his first year too. I think Cora over manages more times than not, and now would do a better job managing those little leaguers he does that commercial with.

    I know lots of Red Sox fans are out on a ledge after just 6 games, and that’s fine if you want to go there. Crochet didn’t pitch good in Houston last year either, so that’s not a biggie to me. Starting 1-5 is not a good start, but too soon to jump IMO.

    Con Man was supposed to be an addition to Bregman, which didn’t come together as planned. Durbin was a CHEAP option to Bregman, or all the other 2B/3B that was rumored about like Marte, or Paredes, and a few others. Yes Ranger was a reaction to losing Bregman, and it remains to be seen if he’s the right pitcher to go long on.
