  1. Cora just goes to his computer, and this lineup is what spit out.
  2. Like I’ve mentioned before that many on the Red Sox are in uncharted waters just playing in the postseason, and that includes Crochet plus he’s never thrown this many innings before, so yes anything can happen.
  3. No big deal on Abreu, and, or Lowe not in the lineup as neither was doing that much lately anyway. GOshida yes. Duran is 0-10 against Fried with 5 K’s.
  4. Got to get the pitch count up on Fried like last time. This will be a Big spot for Bello, but I think he’ll be on a short lease. Bello hasn’t really been that effective his last 5 starts, and one of those was against the Yankees. Yankees have had trouble in the BP.
  5. According to TC Bregman did practice, but they are trying to keep him away from the rest of the team as much as possible.
  6. Bregman is sick, and did not travel to NY with the rest of the team. Was driven in car.
  7. With Gio out Bello needs to step up, and come through. Who’s after him?
  8. Like I said earlier that playing in the postseason is uncharted waters for most of these Red Sox players, and anything can happen. It wouldn’t surprise me if the Red Sox get swept, and it wouldn’t surprise me if the Red Sox do the sweeping. At any rate I’m glad it’s against the Yankees, but wished it would have been in a frenzied Fenway Park.
  9. I’m just guessing here, but I don’t think the Red Sox are as high on Casas as they were a couple of years ago when they offered him that extension. Both Casas, and Mayer have to prove they can stay on the field more than prove what they can do on the field. I hope Casas has been keeping sharp with those mental swings like he did last year.
  10. Casas like Mayer has lost a lot of developmental time the last few years, because of injuries, and has got to prove himself again before the Red Sox can count on him going forward.
  11. I hope the injury won’t take any of his foot speed away from him, or his nimbleness at 1B.
  12. Bad for Casas he didn’t take that extension the Red Sox offered him, and good for the Red Sox as it stands now.
  13. Hitting, and flaws. This is a very flawed series by two very flawed teams as the AL is this year. Whichever teams flaws that are kept in check the most will probably win the series.
  14. Sounds good to me.
  15. I get that point, but you could get it fairly close to what it is now. Other wise you are always going to have some divisions tougher than other divisions, and the seedlings will come out as you stated today. Nothing was like 1967 with 4 teams were fighting for 1 spot, and it came down to the very last game for the Red Sox to find out they were going to the WS.
  16. I’ve always looked at it if something is riding on with the team you are playing just like if it was the other way around for the Red Sox.
  17. As long as teams play the same schedule I’ve always been for doing away with divisions completely, and go by records to rank them, but having divisions like in all sports you frequently get division winners with a worse record than 2nd, or 3rd place teams in another division.
  18. 👍👍👍.
  19. ND looked like they were playing offense against a pickup team in their backyard today. It was that easy.
  20. I said in the beginning that I never would have hired Cora back, and I still feel the same way. I also think Cora is way overrated as a manager, because of 2018. Having said that I think Cora is a good manager, but the Red Sox didn’t make the postseason this year, because of him, nor did the Red Sox miss the postseason the last three years, because of him.
