Yes it’s a lot different than making deals in the offseason. There is much more pressure now with the clock ticking on the deadline.

I agree. You can’t wait, or even count on Houck to come back, and help. If you get anything out of him great, but that’s a Big if, and if anything from the pen.

The only way Story would help the ball club is if he went on one of his hot stretches, but I don’t know if he has it in him especially after a long layoff, and even then his glove would still be a problem.

That was Cora, and this is a whole different situation now not just with Tracy, but the ball club itself, and especially how they are playing at the moment. Of course things may look different when Story is ready to come back, but even then I’m not sure how much help Story will be if any.

That’s the tricky part that right now things are going so good you don’t want to change much to interrupt anything, but at some point this fast train is going to slow down, or stop, and then what?

Well said, and spot on. I would trade anyone including little a to improve the ball club with a proven player. It’s certainly hasn’t been the suspects that have helped turn this season around.

I agree, but I never had a problem with him in the first place even when he wasn’t hitting as well, and definitely never saw him as just a utility player.
