Yes, and I was thinking more about what happens to Bogey, and Raffy now, and the rest of this year, and next. Then we’ll see what the picture looks like.

What he spent in the past is one thing, but up till now the last two years has been mostly bargain basement pickups. Betts is gone, and Bogey, and Raffy will be the next real test, or any other big FA signing for that matter.

I just hope he is not to expensive for John Henry’s taste.

What kind of baseballs did they use back then? What kind of gloves did they use back then. How far do you want to go on with this?

Yes but I think Raffy is a better hitter, and will put up more HR, RBI, and hits before he’s done.

Why do you think Mookie was worth more? D? I’m not disagreeing, but it will be interesting to see when all is said, and done on who will have the better stats between Mookie, and Raffy. 7 years would really be stretching it to still get productivity out of Bogey.

How many millions, and for how long are you willing to pay these two?

Do you think anyone will trade for Bogey for just 1 year unless they are willing to shell out millions in a multi year contract?

I still think the big reshaping of the roster will come after next year when there will be lots of money coming off the books, and even more if Bogey walks. Then there is still the big question on what happens with Raffy.

MLBPA executive board voted 8-0 against, so I guess most of the team’s didn’t take their advice.
