  1. It’s the latter. If it was to spread the wealth there would be a tax on the bottom too.
  2. The best thing I like about this site, and noticed from the beginnings is how welcoming everyone is on here, and how they encourage new, and different views, and opinions. Some more than others. Not all sites are like that, but like I have said before that I read many papers, and listen, and watch different talk shows, and that there is a big world out there of Red Sox Nation, and the opinions on here are just a very small sample size of what Red Sox fans really think.
  3. They got the owners once before for collusion.
  4. You’re right, and I’ll do better.
  5. Who said anything about anyone having to go?? I didn’t, and I’m not the one making the change, but just applauding it. I didn’t have to listen before, and you don’t have to listen now. You might not like it, but I’ve heard lots of people who do.
  6. Well I think it would be fun, and entertaining.
  7. Something like that.
  8. Hey Moon wouldn’t it be great if we could do a sports talk show together? We could take over for Felger, and Mazz.
  9. Why didn’t you stop when you said last word? Can’t help yourself. Over, and out.
  10. This was written, before you said last word, so I guess you didn’t mean last word.
  11. Different strokes for different folks. Amazing that the Red Sox were the last to get a Black player, but the Celtics were the first.
  12. It’s no different now. You are taking something I said, and put your spin on it. Wrong before, and wrong now. At least you admitted it last time.
  13. I was done yesterday when I said we’ll go with I should have worded it different, but for some reason you have kept it going today.
  14. I guess it depends on how old you are, and how far back you go. I used to listen to many teams on the East Coast on my AM radio, in the 60’s and even at times get depending on the atmosphere the Detroit Tigers. Lots of great announcers back then too. My total use of analytics is looking at box scores, and I don’t want anything more than that. I know most eat up the analytics stuff, and nothing wrong with that, but I have no desire.
  15. Do you remember when you said that i didn’t like Cora, because I said I wouldn’t have hired him back, because of his cheating scandal? I never said I didn’t like Cora, because I like Cora, but by your interpretation that meant to you I didn’t. You even apologized for it, so it isn’t like you, or your logic haven’t been wrong before just like this time.
  16. The only way that analytics has changed the game is the shift? What about the pitching? That is a lot bigger change to me than the shifting. Saying the game has gotten worse does not mean I have turned off from the game. Pace, and length of the game has certainly not made the game better in my opinion either, but if I had my pick I would go back to 60’s baseball.
  17. No! I don’t get it, because I DID NOT SAY Moon you said the players are poor, poor, and pitiful. The point is obvious to you, because that’s how you want to interpret it. What would have been obvious is if I said Moon you said those things. Your logic is not everyone’s logic.
  18. The whole game has changed radically to me, and also to me not for the better. Analytics to me has a lot to do with that, and once again I think the game has gotten worse, and not better. Imagine telling Bob Gibson, or Louie Tiant they had to come out of a WS game in the 6th inning because they can’t face a batter for the 3rd time. So are you saying getting rid of the shift is more radical than the radicallly increase of the shift?
  19. NEVER said it was a compliment, but didn’t say it as a negative either. Look people like different things when listening to announcers doing a game. Some like listening to homers, and some don’t. I think the Red Sox booth had gotten kind of boring since Osillo left. I’m not a big fan of OB, and some are. Some may have liked Ellis Biurks, and Lenny D, but I just tuned them out, so to me I just think Mazz will be a new, and different voice, and to me a breath of fresh air. Some don’t like Mazz, and that’s fine . Nothing wrong with different views, or opinions.
  20. Yes, but I’m not calling them that in a negative sense like sucks, and jerks. There is nothing wrong with being a homer, and two of my favorite Boston announcers Johnny Most, and Tommy were as much of a homer as you can get, and I liked them both, but for the most part I would rather hear someone tell it like it really is good, or bad, and Mazz, and Shaugnessy do that. I call anyone on TV, or radio a yucker, but not as a negative. I could have just used talker instead of yucker.
  21. Wow! The name calling. I think it’s a great idea, and a refreshing change from some of the hometown yuckers they have had on there.
  22. You still haven’t shown me where I said “Moon you said the players were poor, poor, and pitiful”, but for the sake of not going back, and forth anymore I’ll go with I should have worded it different.
  23. They showed on something I was watching that shifts increased by 50,00 in a ten year period. Now that is radical. I’m sure you could find that stat somewhere, and didn’t they count the sac fly as a time at bat when Ted hit 406? I don’t think an asterisk was put there.
  24. Only half joking. I think Mazz if it happens will be very interesting, and am shocked the Red Sox would try such a thing as much as Mazz has bashed the Sox, and John Henry through the years.
  25. I just think it slows down the game, and 4 hr games are to long.
