    Bogey is raking right now, and I’m glad to see his contract is not affecting his play, or the mental stress that Moon said Bogey would be having by playing along side Story, because Bogey knows Story is a better SS than him. Of course it’s not the first time Moon has been wrong about something. I’m not for paying Bogey at all cost, but Story will not fill all of Bogey’s shoes no matter how good he does.

    I would say that’s pretty much a forgone conclusion he won’t be there, but tough to say on approving a trade.

    And I keep reminding people that Bogey has a NO TRADE, so he would have to ok any deal.

    Don’t be so sure that Raffy is a given. Remember Betts, and how Bogey will probably leave walking out the door.

    Where did I say that the Red Sox didn’t have a high payroll, or is spending money? I didn’t, but except for Story most of what makes up the payroll came before Bloom got there, and with all the bargain basement shopping is just replacing bargains that left after last year ended. The telltale sign will be what the team looks like next year, and what the payroll will be, so to keep saying the payroll is high now is not in question.

    Not until they produce in a Red Sox uniform, or gets traded for someone who does, but that doesn’t take away from Bloom trading for someone who would work out.

    As much as I enjoy it I’m not going to do another I know you are, but what am I type thing. If a third party independent observer came on here, and read all these back, and forth on here what do you think they would say about everything? Really. Come on man.

    This is the first time I’ve heard the theory that the Red Sox won, or didn’t win championships, because of analytics. I don’t need any history lesson, and I’m still trying to figure out how analytics would have helped the Sox to hit Bob Gibson. Buckner’s error didn’t cost a game? What part of analytics doesn’t say that? Your entitled to your theory, but nothing I want any part of.

    It wasn’t any better with Kike leading off, and neither one is hitting enough to justify anything. Glad to see nobody getting the day off today. Must be all tired out from doing all that running around the bases they’ve been doing.

    Just as much as they didn’t win all those years without them. They didn’t win in 67, because they couldn’t hit Bob Gibson, and not because there wasn’t any analytics to help them, or Billy Buck to catch that ground ball.

    You can hang on to Jeter all you want, but at this point I’m in the opinion that he’ll be pretty much a bust if he isn’t already. Time will tell.

    Not as much interest in the Red Sox is my opinion.How much of the 2018 team was accumulated before 2018?

    The John Henry who bought the Red Sox is not the same guy now as he was then, so what happened in the past is in the past. He has more other adventures going on now, and I don’t think the Red Sox has all his interest as maybe it did before, so I’m not sure there is any big elaborate plan. Bringing Bloom aboard should tell you something, but I’m not sure what that exactly is.
