  1. Both stupid arguments for a couple million dollars.
  2. Just like getting off to a bad start matters. They both matter.
  3. Bogey is flashing some leather.
  4. That’s his brother in disguise.
  5. Cora is just OVER MANAGING here, and if the pen blows the game without a closer it’s all on Cora.
  6. Who was it who said hit ‘‘em where they ain’t?
  7. Moon you know that you was the one who said Bogey would be under such mental stress for having to play along Story, because Bogey knew Story was a better SS than he was, so this is just another example of you being wrong again, and shows what kind of psychiatrist you are. Terrible all the way around.
  8. Flintstone Schwarber,so get it right, and you know as well i I do it was an easy answer, because Bloom didn’t want to pay him.
  9. I take it that Cano if picked up he would be a 1B candidate. How many guys have the Red Sox tried at that position, and how many were actual 1B, and not someone masquerading as one like Flintstone Schwaber, or Franchy, or Arroyo. A big payroll club should be able to do better than that, so call it what you like, but I call it pretty inept.
  10. A BIG market team, which the Red Sox supposedly are shouldn’t have to do something like this, bit I agree at the moment unless Casas is coming up tomorrow there is nothing to lose.
  11. He’d fit right in with a below 200 BA.
  12. Frail is it that group too.
  13. Hoping JBJ would hit again, and last year was a mirage, is more than just wishful thinking. He is who we think he is. I like JBJ, but bad trade is a mild response, and I said it at the time. Remember this trade was what the famous head scratcher comment on here was about.
  14. From Kevin Garnett. ANYTHING’S POSSIBLE! Are you like Moon, and think the Story signing didn’t make sense?
  15. That is a more important point than he hits on the road as well as Bogey. Just throwing that out there.
  16. I don’t believe Story will ever fill Bogey’s shoes in Boston although I believe some already felt that way when Story was signed.
  17. I got that point 100%, but you’re missing the point that Story will no longer play 81 games at Coors.
  18. News Flash. Story now plays all 162 away from Coors Field.
  19. 1974 it was facing the potential tying, or winning runs, or pitching 3 perfect innings. It started in 1969, but was changed in 74.
  20. I don’t know, and I don’t count Whitlock on opening day, or anything before the 7th. Saturday, and a possible 4 out save was the last thing that comes to mind. Didn’t the original save concept start out you had to come in the 9th with the tying, or winning run on base to get the save? They should go back to that.
  21. That’s true, but if the Red Sox had a reliable closer they wouldn’t have as many blown saves either. They have one, but Cora doesn’t want to use him.
  22. And more blown saves.
  23. If the plan was not to use Whitlock as the closer to start the season then both Cora, and Bloom knew the Red Sox did not have a closer, which adds up to bad planning to me.
  24. Outside of Whitlock how many of these guys would be closing on another team right now?
  25. The Red Sox have 5 Saves this season, and 6 BS in only 23 games, but nope we don’t need a closer.
