    Who’s talking about banning bringing the IF in? It wasn’t even mentioned by me. Seeing things that aren’t even there again, because you are so hung up on guarding the 3B, and 1B lines as like a shift.

    I get the point you are trying to make, but that point just doesn’t matter to some as it does you. This year with this record is what matters to many.

    There should be nothing to be found out about Ort that isn’t known already. If there is then Houston we have a bigger problem evaluating talent then we thought.

    The shift is over. Like it, or in your case not. Stop grasping at straws like guarding the foul lines, or if the outfielders are playing shallow, or deep, or shading one way, or the other in the OF, which none of it has anything to do with an IF shift.

    You are not a paying customer, so I would go by what they say, and think over those who aren’t. Watching prospects are what the minor leagues are for. I don’t think it’s been that pleasant an experience watching tryouts at the ML level this year for the most part.

    If you can’t find better players than Duran, or Franchy then maybe the Sox better find someone who can. Yes it’s well documented many times on here about declining veterans, and injuries, but still doesn’t take away from what Bloom did, and didn’t do such as JBJ for Renfroe, and no plan at all for the backend of the BP to start the season. Also the 1B fiasco that became apparent, and Bloom did nothing until the trade deadline when Hosmer was given to him. You don’t wait to see what was offered you go out, and offer yourself. As it looks now it might not have made a difference, but you didn’t know that at the time. Once again declines, and injuries do not change the ineptness of Bloom this season.

    And bad for the PAYING customer who have every right to see the best possible product on the field. The paying customer is paying for what’s happening now, and not what might happen in the future, or the end of the 40 man roster.

    That’s why the players to me don’t deserve as much blame as Cora, and Bloom who keep them on the team, and keep playing them.

    Whitlock had 2 bad outings in a row, but he hasn’t pitched for a week now. You are 100% right that Ort should not have been in that game in that situation, and only Cora knows why it was done.

    Not true at all. Duran had trouble catching fly balls, but yet he stayed in the lineup when he should have been down in the instructional league learning how to do so. Franchy Strange Glove wasn’t a 1B, but yet he kept being put out there. JD hitting, and power has sucked for sometime now, and that is all on him, and so is it all on Raffy for what you want to call whatever he’s going through. Bogey is top 5 in hitting , and top 5 in hits in all of MLB, which doesn’t mean much to some, but it is an a accomplishment. Power numbers are down, and he went through long stretches of not doing much, and that is on him too.

    Casas has had the most hype. The Winkin, and Seabold types not so much, and yes I have seen enough of Duran, and Franchy.

    Guarding the lines you are still in your area of position, and once again not even close to a shift. Unpopular strategy is right, and the only enforcement that has to be done is two IF on the left side of the IF, and two infielders on the right side of the infield, and their spikes have to be in the IF dirt. Very simple, and as far as I can tell the 3B, and SS could be standing side by side holding hands. The OF has nothing to do with any of this, so playing shallow, or deep, nor does shading either way.Very simple. I’ll keep cheering, and you can keep complaining.

    Need I repeat the shift is over after this year, and I’m sure the reason was all the negative feedback MLB heard back in making the decision. Move along little doggie.

    Who isn’t giving him a chance? It was just a simple question of an early impression, and nothing more than that, so don’t try to make it so.

    You said in past discussions that guarding the 3rd, and 1st base lines by the 3B, and 1B was the same as the shift. Not even close to the same thing, and way off base. The shift is done after this year, so complain all you want. You know the chant! IT’S ALL OVER. MLB I believe got this one right.

    Not at all it’s way to early even if he had 5 HR, and was hitting 400 already I would say the same thing, but you know my saying that until a prospect produces in a Red Sox uniform what they did on the farm doesn’t mean a thing.

    I was with you on the No tanking, or fire sale, which to me should never happen in Boston with fans having to pay such high ticket prices that all the ones on here who did want a fire sale probably don’t do.

    In football, and basketball something could be called on pretty much every play. Just like on here every one sees things differently, and interprets different views.
