  1. I agree, but I don’t think JH does, and he has a tighter grip on his wallet than he used to. Bloom wasn’t brought to Boston to play Let’s Make A Deal.
  2. As you know my biggest complaint about Cora was to not make Whitlock the closer on day 1, and I’ll still contend that the Red Sox would have a better record if they did. I’m still not sold on Houck as the closer now, but I think he’s their best option at the moment, but it took Cora way to long to make it happen. Using Franchy Strange Glove at 1B, and Arroyo in RF I blame Bloom more for that, but Cora gets some blame as well. Outside of that with all the injuries they have had to the starting staff I think he has done a decent job to get them in postseason contention at the moment. If they make it good job, but if not to much time was spent figuring out the backend of the bullpen.
  3. Not anticipated by me. Sale may be better than the Worcester rotation, but I think his best days are behind him like early 2018.
  4. And for 2 years. Double wow!
  5. I can’t remember a time when there has been so many dropped, or misplayed pop ups, or bad throws by pitchers, and infielders, and not just the Sox, but other teams as well. Kind of like some are still in Little League.
  6. Kind of late now. I said they should have signed Rizzo last trading deadline, before the Yankees got him, and the Sox ended up with Schwarber who was hurt, and not a real 1B, but you was against it. Wow!
  7. Are you bashing Bloom? A 2 yr contract even.
  8. Good to see some run production from both.
  9. Hopefully he starting to come around with driving in some runs.
  10. Dugy got a hit he shouldn’t have, and Story land got robbed on a GREAT play. That’s baseball folks.
  11. I just hate the concept of openers. Give me a closer any day.
  12. Quite a difference in the atmosphere tonight after playing the Yankees, and I’m sure what it will be this WE at the Stadium.
  13. Bello should be more settled down tonight.
  14. Franco, and Kiermaier out, so Rays not as good with 4 batters under the Mendoza line.
  15. Still hanging on to the notion that Bobby D, and Kike are going to repeat last years performance. Me not so much, but Cora does give players plenty of rope.
  16. No the main point being that Mookie doesn’t have as many AB that Dugy does, and even then Mookie bats leadoff, and Dugy 5/6. Mookie has had injuries the last two years though.
  17. You do realize that Mookie was on the IL with a broken rib. He just didn’t stay as long as Frail did.
  18. Dugy will never be a HOF like Mookie, so I don’t think a clutch hitting hot streak by Dugy will change anything.
  19. The BP has been worked real hard lately, and I don’t believe everyone was available. He did pitch good though.
  20. Ref is in tonight over JBJ against a RHP. Let’s see what happens.
  21. Fisk/Lynne was an embarrassment, and just a total cluster f—-. Boggs on horseback was not a pretty sight.
  22. Agree 100%, but it won’t happen with Henry, and Bloom.
  23. No, but most of the talk I hear on here is you have to have D, and Duran is the worst OF of the bunch, so to me he has to hit more to stay there. At the moment outside of Dugy, and The Ref hitting against LHP you don’t have many options. Duran, and the Ref are only up, because of injuries. Kike wasn’t hitting much of anything either, and neither was Dugy for quite a while.
  24. Talk shows, water coolers, and Cabbage Island are just a few to name that I’ve heard from.
