  1. Tampa wouldn’t have this much money in expiring contracts to begin with.
  2. I said some on here not so much.
  3. So everyone not on here is Johnny from Burger King? Very interesting.
  4. Kike only played 1 game in the minors, and he was hurting again. How can you not keep up on your favorite player?
  5. It’s always been that Duran has to hit to stay in the lineup, because he’s not out there for his D, so he wouldn’t be buried, and back to Worcester.
  6. People on here have been talking about a fire sale before the season even started. Wow! None of the Big expiring contracts are going anywhere.
  7. I agree with you that Bobby D isn’t much better. You can try Kike there, but the best thing that could happen is to actually get a good 1B that they have been trying to piece together for two years now. Like I keep saying about Kike he has to hit better to get playing time anywhere.
  8. Do you honestly think Cora, and Bloom are going to send Bobby D down? Then what make Franchy Dr Strange Glove be the full time 1B?
  9. Yes it would be bad to get nothing out of all, or any of the expiring contracts, but to me that should have been decided long before now especially with the Red Sox having a good chance getting into the postseason. The Yankees are good team, but I think the Sox can handle their own against them head to head especially when healthy. The rest of the teams like the Sox are not great, so once in the postseason anyone can win. If the Red Sox unload contracts now just to build for the future I think Red Sox Nation would be in a uproar. Maybe not so much on here, but elsewhere I think big time.
  10. JBJ will be around for the rest of this year, and next. When Kike comes back I would say Duran is the one going down. Seems his luster has worn off some. Even when Kike comes back he still has to hit better than he was before he got hurt to warrant playing time.
  11. Good opinion, but unfortunately not the one that Cora shares.
  12. I would never would had said that Story was anything close to most clutch by the eye test. If I needed a clutch hit late in a ballgame Dugy, and Vaz would be my two best options eye test, or any stat withstanding.
  13. 0 K’s = hitting the ball, which led to 2 hits, which 1 was a gift, but clearing the bases was a biggie.
  14. The Yankees had a 4 game sweep in reach, but watched the last two games go slip, sliding away. Taillon couldn’t hold the lead, and Cole did his usual Fenway performance. The Yankees vaunted BP didn’t look so good either, and the Sox actually got a lot of clutch hits. If anything it showed the Sox can play head to head with theses guys.
  15. The Yankees have crapped their pants for the second night in a row. Three if you count Cole’ performance.
  16. At least don’t have to listen to A Rod anymore.
  17. Ref on the bench today for JBJ, and Duran. I guess he doesn’t hit RHP good enough for Cora.
  18. He can’t hit a fastball 95+, and he sucks in the clutch 7th inning on. The eye test tells you that, and I imagine there are stats that says so.
  19. Wow! With the way things turned out he should have gotten a police escort like Mirabelli did years ago.
  20. Good starting pitching to start the game, and good clutch hitting to tie, and win the game against a good Yankee BP. Quite a night, and quite a momentum shift from going 0-3 to a chance to tie up the series tonight.
  21. Trading him is fine, but who you going to replace him with? The Red Sox are having trouble with the OF as it is.
  22. 7 K’s in a row for Duran.
  23. Another good job by the Kut Man.
