Franchy, and Wink don’t even look good on a LAST PLACE team. Beni gets to play on a 1st place team. Poor poor JH who couldn’t have come up with the $3M anyway to sign Renfroe. Maybe we should take up a collection. NOT!

I don’t think Winck will ever be much more than a 6th, or 7th starter on a LAST PLACE team like the Sox.

The fact that Franchy is still on the big club playing 1B no less was a joke the first time, but to do it again is just plain incompetent by either Bloom, Cora, or both.

I agree, but the point being Bloom is responsible for what he does with JH money good, or bad.

Bogey had a no trade anyway. Who was it that every fan wanted to see gone.

I do blame JH for the pocketbook, but it’s Bloom making the decision of what to do with the money he has like trading for a bigger contract like JBJ, and buying some prospects at the same time, who chances are will never put on a Red Sox uniform.

Yes they did, but that’s not what happened to cause some discontent in the clubhouse that Bloom tried to sooth over, but it didn’t work.

That’s the point that was being made that payroll went up after 2019.

The upgrades were so good the team went from a few games away from the WS to last place in the Division, and a losing record to boot.

He did good as it turns out with acquisitions like Whitlock, Kike, and Renfroe in 2021, but then Renfroe, and his 96 RBI wasn’t good enough so he got rid of him at the excitement of getting prospects, and made the team worse in the process.

You think that the contract offer was the only thing to alienate the players in that clubhouse? Do you know what Bogey, or Raffy has even asked for?
