  1. Big 4 game series in NY the end of the month with a DH to boot. Hope both teams are pretty much healthy, and their should be an old time buzz going on.
  2. Are you saying that rankings aren’t all their cracked up to be?
  3. I think more than anything Mayer had worn out his welcome both on, and off the field.
  4. It seems Brez has changed his tune. He said he’s trying to get out of the habit of winning trades, and just now trying to win games. Way to go Brez.👏
  5. Get out once in a while, and you would see, and know these things. Plenty of interviews yesterday, and today already.
  6. Well since Abreu, and RAF Man pretty much play everyday whom he would fill in for that only leaves Duran.
  7. A very good player? Is he playing tonight? Is he playing tomorrow? Has he been on the IL 3 times already this year like now, and did he only play in 90 games last year? That is the only hangup to me, and others on here have voiced the same concern, so if that’s funny to you then laugh away. I applaud Brez for making the move despite the Rut Man’s not being able to stay on the field the last few years.👏
  8. Questions to be asked, and questions to be answered no doubt. How much, and how long would you splurge to extend the Rut Man who hasn’t been to healthy the past two years?
  9. I’ve been saying playing in Boston isn’t for everyone for years. Some guys can flourish, and make names for themselves going back to Hawk Harrelson, and then Kevin Millar, and of course Ortiz.
  10. Probably more right than wrong on this.
  11. Agree with most. Sooner, or later this hot stretch is going to come to an end, and how healthy, and how good they are playing come the postseason will really be the determining factor.
  12. Agree with that. I don’t know if injuries held back Mayer’s development, or he just wasn’t that good. Maybe some of both. Maybe a change of scenery will do him good.
  13. Huh? I think this series was a lot more important to the Red Sox than the Dodgers who are just kind of coasting along. As MVP said on another thread if this was a WS game the Dodgers wouldn’t have started a BP game, or some of the other pitching moves that made last night. Beating the Yam Man was legit though.
  14. Those wasn’t even the calculations speculations I was talking about.🙈
  15. Health with the Rut Man will be the key these next two years at least, and lack of health the last two years may be a reason Baltimore traded him. Back in 2023 Baltimore won 101 games, and 91 the next year, and the future looked pretty bright with Rut Man at 25, and Gunner 22. The future don’t look so bright for them anymore, so you never know.
  16. First Rut Man has to get back on the field, and stay there, which has been no sure thing the last two years. Second Skubal most likely will resign with the Dodgers, so all your calculations speculations will all most likely be way off.🙈
  17. Cotillo said the Red Sox could have gotten Kertel Marte this past offseason for Early, and Mayer, and now instead have Miller, and Meade for better , or worse.
  18. True enough. As the saying goes if you don’t play to win don’t play at all. As we’ve seen the past few years even suspects that get hyped as the Big three don’t always pan out and make things AWESOME. A chance today, or this year doesn’t mean there will be a chance tomorrow or next year, so take the chance when the chance presents itself. It seems Brez kind of thinks that way himself especially today.
  19. As always time will tell. Rut Man has been on the IL three times this year, and only played 90 games last, which is a concern now, and going forward with any kind of extension.
  20. What’s that got to do with evaluators voicing their opinions? I don’t think mine changes theirs, or others out there that are voicing their opinions, which so far haven’t been favorable. I’m waiting to see how things work out. It doesn’t hurt anything at the moment, but since AR is injured it doesn’t help anything either.
