  1. I was there for game 7 so I know ist hand.
  2. You are trying to blame all the problems on the starting rotation, and there were a lot more problems then that.
  3. I think the rotation held up pretty good with the Worcester pitching staff. All you say is right, but I believe all what I say is right too. No one is changing anyones opinion, so I’m over, and out.
  4. I didn’t say you did call me a name, but I don’t believe anyone said Bloom is dumb either. Just, because I say he’s in over his head in Boston I don’t think he’s dumb. Isn’t he a Yale guy?
  5. There you go playing the name game (dumb). Bloom is just in over his head in Boston. Once again plenty of loyalty on here, but not on the outside.
  6. Seems to me Seattle got a 1B. Once again Casas got hurt in May, and who’s to say he could handle it. Lots of speculation to me.May to Aug was to long a wait, and games were lost, because of the 1B play.
  7. You answered it yourself. Casas went down in May, but it took until Aug to get a legit 1B, who has solidified the infield D since he stepped on the field. Incompetent GM to me, and you made the case.
  8. Deny, deny, deny. It’s not that Bloom was supposed to predict the future, or magically produce a bench handling injuries, but the fact that Kike sucked before his injury, and first base was a clown show, and Duran couldn’t track, or catch a fly ball how come he had to wait for the trade deadline to get a a legit 1B, and an adequate OF who he was negotiating with before the season started? If he can’t do a better job than that to me he needs to be replaced.
  9. Yaz ran into Bob Gibson in 67, and probably no other team would have beaten him either. The best teams don’t always win.
  10. Agree, but the power outage of the big bats are in there too.
  11. Kike was brought up just to say he sucked at bat before his injury, so don’t look more into it then it was. If you don’t think an upgrade could not have been made before the trade deadline then think that all you want, but it cost the team games. Waiting for someone to practically give you a Hosmer should have been done two months earlier even if it meant giving up a prospect/suspect like Groome. Excuse to protect Bloom to say a 1B couldn’t have been done before it was. Wow! Only on here.
  12. Once again grasping at straws for a team that just made it back to 500. Kike sucked with the bat since opening day, but would have at least caught fly balls in the outfield. The circus at 1B would have still happened, and JBJ still couldn’t hit.
  13. Not just weaker teams, but that the weaker teams like a Seattle at the time was playing bad ball not like the Seattle team of the past month, and the Angels were going through their long losing streak., so not only bad teams, but playing bad at the time also.
  14. Breaking News. Paxton pulled after 2 batters in his rehab start today. Report saying lat tightness.
  15. Lots of good teams with lots of god talent though from 67 to 2003.
  16. Some fans like the process better than the results. Personally I go for the results.
  17. Let’s remember this team started out 10-19 completely healthy, and the only winning they have pretty much done this year was in the fantasy month of June that lots bought into against not only a weak AL West, but Seattle sucked at the time, and the Angels were going through a 15 game losing streak. Coming back to reality against the East, and the Sox sucked again, and less than two weeks ago lost 3 of 4 to KC. Not quite the exact team as last year with no 96 RBI Renfroe, and Flintstone Schwaber who helped down the stretch. The powerless bats of JD, and Bogey aren’t the same either, and no hot streak from Kike either. Injuries yes, but bad results were a bigger factor.Kike sucked before he got hurt, and Story was either or, and not to mention JBJ, and his big bat made possible by Bloom.
  18. 500 team is kind of grasping at straws to say it’s alright to be in last place, and yesterday you couldn’t say they were a 500 team. You honestly think the Red Sox are going to win 86 or 87 games?
  19. Shouldn’t have to be a Last Place team in the process.
  20. No! I did not inadvertently defend Bloom. I’ve never questioned that Bloom doesn’t have a big allowance from JH like DD, and others have had, but what he’s done with it, or not done with it. Nice try though.
  21. A lot of that is old, and pre Bloom money. Let’s see what it looks like to start 2023, and if it’s a thumb up, or a thumb down.
  22. Well said, and like I’ve been saying this is not the same JH as in the past, so don’t try to read what he will do when it comes to spending on payroll based on what he has done in the past. The 4 titles have been great, but like I heard today if the Red Sox end up in last place in the Div , which would make it 5 times in 11 years, and that is unacceptable.
  23. The big three need to hit to move on. You can’t expect Dugy, and Arroyo to keep up their pace.
  24. 9 games coming up starting Friday with Div teams ahead of the Sox. That will tell if they are a different team, or not.
