  1. And some on here said Bloom couldn’t have done better. Maybe he couldn’t, but then again maybe another GM could have.
  2. Hi neighbor! Have a Gansett.
  3. What are the chances the Red Sox juggernaut will erase a 4-0 deficit?
  4. Most on here don’t think a reliable closer like Jensen wouldn’t have made that much of a difference in the beginning, and don’t blame Bloom for getting one, because of it.
  5. Who is underperforming starts at the top with Bloom, and works it’s way down to the players that we agree on.
  6. There you go with the hate, and disdain talk that you are infamous for again.you don’t go a day without it, or the fans are shallow, or angry with watching what’s going on, and liking the results. It always somebody else that’s wrong, or don’t get it. Maybe just maybe the fans are right, and do get it, which you don’t like.
  7. And that is a better argument to be had.
  8. Exaggeration 101. Who said anything about a major trade? Was Pham a major trade? No, and he could have been had back in March, but Bloom couldn’t pull the trigger. Was Hosmer a major trade? No, and was he the only one out there that couldn’t have been had in June. You know an actual 1B who could catch a pop up. Instead Bloom sat, and watched the Franchy Clown Show, and the Sox lose games, because of it. What a joke.
  9. I was there for game 7 so I know ist hand.
  10. You are trying to blame all the problems on the starting rotation, and there were a lot more problems then that.
  11. I think the rotation held up pretty good with the Worcester pitching staff. All you say is right, but I believe all what I say is right too. No one is changing anyones opinion, so I’m over, and out.
  12. I didn’t say you did call me a name, but I don’t believe anyone said Bloom is dumb either. Just, because I say he’s in over his head in Boston I don’t think he’s dumb. Isn’t he a Yale guy?
  13. There you go playing the name game (dumb). Bloom is just in over his head in Boston. Once again plenty of loyalty on here, but not on the outside.
  14. Seems to me Seattle got a 1B. Once again Casas got hurt in May, and who’s to say he could handle it. Lots of speculation to me.May to Aug was to long a wait, and games were lost, because of the 1B play.
  15. You answered it yourself. Casas went down in May, but it took until Aug to get a legit 1B, who has solidified the infield D since he stepped on the field. Incompetent GM to me, and you made the case.
  16. Deny, deny, deny. It’s not that Bloom was supposed to predict the future, or magically produce a bench handling injuries, but the fact that Kike sucked before his injury, and first base was a clown show, and Duran couldn’t track, or catch a fly ball how come he had to wait for the trade deadline to get a a legit 1B, and an adequate OF who he was negotiating with before the season started? If he can’t do a better job than that to me he needs to be replaced.
  17. Yaz ran into Bob Gibson in 67, and probably no other team would have beaten him either. The best teams don’t always win.
  18. Agree, but the power outage of the big bats are in there too.
  19. Kike was brought up just to say he sucked at bat before his injury, so don’t look more into it then it was. If you don’t think an upgrade could not have been made before the trade deadline then think that all you want, but it cost the team games. Waiting for someone to practically give you a Hosmer should have been done two months earlier even if it meant giving up a prospect/suspect like Groome. Excuse to protect Bloom to say a 1B couldn’t have been done before it was. Wow! Only on here.
  20. Once again grasping at straws for a team that just made it back to 500. Kike sucked with the bat since opening day, but would have at least caught fly balls in the outfield. The circus at 1B would have still happened, and JBJ still couldn’t hit.
  21. Not just weaker teams, but that the weaker teams like a Seattle at the time was playing bad ball not like the Seattle team of the past month, and the Angels were going through their long losing streak., so not only bad teams, but playing bad at the time also.
  22. Breaking News. Paxton pulled after 2 batters in his rehab start today. Report saying lat tightness.
  23. Lots of good teams with lots of god talent though from 67 to 2003.
