    The sad part is that some would be lost now if the analytics was taken away from them. They would be lost, and wouldn’t know what to do anymore. Sad movies it would be.

    Excuse after excuse. You say the need for a legit 1B was not apparent until June, but why did Bloom wait until Aug to do something? Only then did he make a move, and that was only that SD was so desperate to get rid of Hosmer they practically gave him away. Otherwise we’d still probably watching Franchy, and Bobby V perform their magic act. The funny part is the more posters try to defend Bloom they make Bloom, and themselves look even worse by saying things like the need was not apparent for a 1B until June when Bloom let 2 months go by until he made a move. Hilarious to watch.

    I think it comes down to if the Sox bring their bats with them, or not. Especially JD, Bogey, and Raffy.

    Bingo! You nailed it. To bad Bloom didn’t get it, but I guess he was to busy being mesmerized watching Franchy at 1B, and Duran trying to track, and catch fly balls in the outfield.

    If you really need any kind of metrics to tell you what’s going on then you probably don’t know what’s going on anyway, but then again not everyone has the same needs.

    3, or 4 could be really big. Remember we only made the post season by 1 game last year. A legit 1B could have added a few more wins.

    A big step back last night. Here we go with the last place in the Div, and last Wild Card spot standing update. 3 games back in the L column for last place in the Div, and 6 games back in the L column for the last Wild Card spot. Also I guess staying at 500 was to much pressure, and they fell back below that last night. Tough stretch coming up, so things are not looking to promising.

    If it was a different team it would have been a different argument, but the Dodgers can afford anything like when they bailed the Red Sox out before with a 1B, and a LF.

    Nobody knows for sure what was offered to Bloom, and nobody knows for sure what another GM like DD could have gotten. I would have rather seen DD make the trade, and I think he would have done better.

    Most on here don’t think a reliable closer like Jensen wouldn’t have made that much of a difference in the beginning, and don’t blame Bloom for getting one, because of it.

    Who is underperforming starts at the top with Bloom, and works it’s way down to the players that we agree on.

    There you go with the hate, and disdain talk that you are infamous for again.you don’t go a day without it, or the fans are shallow, or angry with watching what’s going on, and liking the results. It always somebody else that’s wrong, or don’t get it. Maybe just maybe the fans are right, and do get it, which you don’t like.

    Exaggeration 101. Who said anything about a major trade? Was Pham a major trade? No, and he could have been had back in March, but Bloom couldn’t pull the trigger. Was Hosmer a major trade? No, and was he the only one out there that couldn’t have been had in June. You know an actual 1B who could catch a pop up. Instead Bloom sat, and watched the Franchy Clown Show, and the Sox lose games, because of it. What a joke.
