  1. 8-10-18 8 games under 500 10th place in the league 18th place overall JH should be pissed that this is what he’s paying $200M+ for. Think he’s patting Bloom on the back, and saying a job well done?
  2. I saw all I wanted to see. Bello has lots of promise, but I think he needs more consistency before he can be counted on as a top of a rotation starter.
  3. Turned it off after Bello left.
  4. Day dreaming.
  5. You worry about it then, because I’m not. I’m for locking up Bogey, and Raffy, and then going out, and sign Judge, and the Trumpet Man closer from the Mets. If the Red Sox are going to charge those high ticket prices make it worth going to Fenway to watch unlike this year. Let’s go!
  6. San Diego’s does.
  7. If SD signs Soto long term with their other 2 huge contracts what’s another $16M for Snell?
  8. Just one of many tough calls that have to be made this off season.
  9. Agree, and we know the biggest question with Arroyo is him staying on the field. If he could that would save lots of money to spend in other areas.
  10. Many don’t want to mess that up are not Cora, and Bloom, and like I said before don’t count out Arroyo as a plan at 2B, which would even save more money.
  11. Why is everyone just assuming that Story isn’t the SS next year? Nothing has been said from Cora, or Bloom. Story at SS, and Arroyo at 2B would not surprise me at all. It’s not what I would want to see, but it wouldn’t surprise me that would be the plan going into next season if Bogey goes bye, bye.
  12. The best part about Pivetta is he was available to take the the mound when it was his turn. That in itself should be worth something especially after what has happened this year.
  13. It officially over! Any hopes of the Red Sox to get get back to 500 were dashed last night with their 14th loss off the season to the Jays. They will finish the 2022 season as a LOSING team. They lost on opening day, and the last time this team was above 500 was Aug 2, so they will end up not only as a losing team, but last place in the Div as well. Sitting at the kiddie table should be embarrassing, and is. On paper this was not bad a team, but you don’t play this game on paper. Injuries, and some key players not playing up to expectations were a big reason this team is where they are at, and there is plenty of blame to go around from top to bottom, and that is management, and players alike, so on to the off season, which should be something to watch, and then on to 2023. This off season will be a big test to see how good Bloom is, or not. I’m going with the not.
  14. It’s nice of Duran to show up tonight when the games for all content, and purposes don’t mean anything, but couldn’t show up last time the Red Sox were in Toronto when the games did. They should have left him home.
  15. I’m really not trying to bust your balls, but just wondering if you had an inside connection.
  16. I have never said an eye test alone can lead to a solid opinion. I have just said the eye test is good enough for me. I had heard that Duran was not a good OF, but last year I didn’t see that in the games I watched, but I sure saw it this year, so I realize that stats too can tell you more of a story. I don’t question that.
  17. Reset, cliff, go all in, and no rebuild either.
  18. Ancient history.
  19. It’s just your speel, and nothing more, or less than that. I’m not saying your wrong, and I’m not saying your right, but if that was what was going on, or has in the past I’d just like to hear it from someone official.
  20. I am not arguing that example at all, and I said that may be an example of being wrong, and I’m just talking about in general that the eye test is good enough for me that you have commented on many times.
  21. Boston certainly aren’t putting their best team on the field tonight, which I think they should do with Toronto still fighting with other teams for playoff positioning. Putting Duran Duran the Butterfly Man in the lineup is not doing that at all. Just the opposite.
  22. I never hear Bloom, Kennedy, or JH talk about any of this stuff like reset, go all in, cliffs, or rebuild.
  23. That may be an example, but everyone sees, and interprets things differently. Another set of eyes might have told you something else. All I know is that for me the eye test is good enough, and every one else can do what, and how they want to do it. I don’t need a lot of technical stuff to know what’s going on.
  24. Time, and money will tell if I’m wrong , or not, and nothing else.
