  1. Hopefully Schreiber, and Barnes can be effective too.
  2. Sorry, but it’s always suspicious when you agree with me.
  3. At the time no, but as it turned out yes. I was against any fire sale, and I was against resigning John Goodman, and both turned out to be wrong.
  4. And a good suggestion it was.
  5. Where did it say I said anyone said Houck was a lock down closer? I ve been saying the Red Sox needs one since last off season, and there is none on the Red Sox roster at the moment.
  6. Great article today by Dan Secatore SB Nation on the Bloom vs DD debate. Of course not as good as what’s on here.
  7. I don’t think Houck can be a reliable anything, and I’ve been saying that for 2 years now. He has good flashes, but not enough to be reliable. I keep saying a reliable closer is not on the Red Sox roster at the moment.
  8. A reliable lock down closer is the way to go if you want to have a good BP. If not then your way would be the way to go.Ewwww… is right.
  9. As usual your feeling is wrong. AGAIN! Do I have to bring up the Cora issue again? Don’t try to interpret someone else’s interpretation when it didn’t need it it, and be wrong again, and again. Wash, rinse repeat. Say goodnight Dick.
  10. I already knew Notin’s position, and it didn’t need any explaining from you. Comprehension issues? What part of that don’t you understand?
  11. Heel tag team, but definitely not champions.
  12. Are you his spokesman? As usual you’ve added nothing to conversation that you wasn’t involved in even though you think you have. A gift that you think that you have it is not. Especially when you pull back the curtain.
  13. Well said. Houck Has NOt Nailed down anything.
  14. I knew what he meant, and I know what I meant, and after all that I don’t agree. Like I also said we’ll find out who’s right.
  15. He was kind of a last option, and he is no Koji who was a pretty much the same. Like I said it may be a safe bet to you, but not to me. Time will tell on who’s going to be right.
  16. I don’t believe there is any kind of bet especially a safe one that they know who the closer is going to be, and if it was me it would be someone not on the roster at the moment. You may like Houck as the closer, but that is not something I would do.
  17. Not only is a good bullpen a must, but having a good reliable closer also. This was a major failure of a bad failed plan by Bloom, and Cora that started the 2022 season down a losing path.
  18. This we will agree on.
  19. How we got there, and how is it fixed is the problem, and I don’t believe Bloom is that problem solver. Injuries, and lack of production were problems, but Bloom’s moves, or lack of were also a problem.
  20. That’s what we’ve been discussing for several post now, which is the long view of JH time here, and if he should still be patted on the back for 2004, and the three other years they have won, and how long the pats should still come after all the last place finishes.
  21. If fans want to pat JH on the back for a job well done every year that is their prerogative, and I get that. On the other hand if someone doesn’t want to pat JH on the back every year for past good deeds that is their prerogative , and I get that too. I agree on the expectations part. I expect the Red Sox to be in the postseason every year, and if not to me that is a failure. Other fans are not that critical, and I get that to.
  22. Who said anything about not caring about championships?NO ONE. The point was how long can you rest on the laurels for winning them. Once again I’ll point to the Pats who have MORe laurels to rest on, but lots of fans are not letting them rest, and they have every right to do that like it, or not.
  23. Hypocrisy to you, and hypocrisy to others could be two different points of view, which has happened many times over on here.
  24. Not much money to spend if Bogey, and Raffy sign, and if they don’t then it will take money for their replacement. I’m all for trading Raffy if nothing can be worked out, but like I have been saying for awhile that I don’t see how a good plan A, or plan B can be made without knowing the status of Bogey, and Raffy first.
  25. How much are you allowing for the possible Bogey, and Raffy increases?
