  1. I fully understand what a depth chart is, and at the moment the depth chart doesn’t mean a tinkers damm. Like I’ve said numerous times before the Bogey situation one way, or the other should have been cleared up long ago, but Bloom is still looking for that third option in the fork in the road like he was at the trade deadline. s***, or get off the pot. Letting Bogey getting to FA is just upping the price, which I think is what the Sox wants. Their actions speaks louder than words. All PR, and lip service.
  2. My opinion is yes. Bogey is proven, and proven in Boston, and yes in my opinion that means something.
  3. Jeter Downs shouldn’t even be in Worcester let alone on any depth chart on the big league club.
  4. Didn’t say Bogey was on the team. Said he was the best option.
  5. If Soxprospects.com has Jeter Downs being in the #1slot at SS anywhere I wouldn’t put any faith in them at all for anything.
  6. Who said your point was so extreme? Quick answer is NOBODY. You just don’t like others, and their opinion that the BP, and closer is the #1 need.
  7. Bogey is the best option for SS, and nobody on the present roster is as good an option for the closer.
  8. It’s amazing that it is always someone else out there that is over analyzing, and not you. Anyone who even throws Downs, and Duran out there as being part of anything is more than a proverbial head scratcher. Throwing out extremes, because making the BP the #1 priority did not fit your opinion.SS once again is only a weak area, because the Red Sox have chosen at the moment to make it one.
  9. This is more of a option than your Jeter Downs, Duran, and the Ref proposal you threw out there.
  10. Bogey’s price has gone up the second he opted out. They have had since last offseason to work on this, and like I have said their actions have spoken more than their words.
  11. I get all that, but this is a whole new year, and the team is coming off a losing record, and a last place Div finish for the 2nd time in the last three years. Time for a new precedent, which JH can afford. NO I don’t care if JH has to pay a tax, or not, and I think most feel the same way. If you, and others do care that’s fine too.
  12. I haven’t always said I want Bogey even when you, and others didn’t think Bogey was a good enough SS? Common sense says the BP needs upgrading if you want to have a winning team, and get out of last place in the Div it’s just a question of how high the priority is, which I put it on the top. Ideas?Ive been saying since last off season the Red Sox need a good reliable closer, and am still saying it.
  13. I know what scenario means, but you don’t go many post without talking about tax, budget, or resetting. I don’t analyze the budget stuff. Bloom has plenty of helpers on here who do that.
  14. Last year you wanted Baez. I’ll take Bogey.
  15. That was known, but who said the Red Sox were not going over the tax line?
  16. Who said there was a budget scenario? Bloom? Kennedy? JH?
  17. On the other hand we could have Bogey at SS. Judge in RF DeGroom as our #1 SP.
  18. That was my understanding, but I was just returning a comment that didn’t need to be said in the first place.
  19. Didn’t you tell me to stop over analyzing first? Nobody has to tell anybody to stop over analyzing, but you can never resist. Everyone has a opinion on everything, and yes even different opinions like some of us think the BP is the #1 priority.
  20. Everything you do is over analyzing. You have no clue what the budget will be, or anything else, and probably all the moves that Bloom makes will not come anything close to moves that you would make. The Red Sox have a good SS if they want to pay him, but they don’t have a good closer.
  21. You are really taking it to the extreme with this kind of lineup. Henry has plenty of money to spend if he wants to, and not use your minor league examples. Might as well thrown in Franchy too.
  22. I thought that year, but he wasn’t as lock down last year as he was the year before, so set up yes, but not sure about closer.
  23. Not the Kimbrel who ended in Boston, and LA, but the younger version yes.
  24. Nobody said anything about just needing a closer. Whitlock, and Houck to me should also be in the backend, and you can add Schreiber. Getting a closer, and one more good arm would be a good start.
  25. That’s all wishing, and hoping that someone will take the job, and run with it, and just isn’t sound strategy to me.
