  1. But on the other hand you have nothing to backup they don’t. Like I’ve said many times all my adventures through all the sports venues through the years starting with Guy Manela, and the Sports Babe I would say I’m more in tune with their thoughts, and opinions then opinions on here.Come to any conclusions you want about that.
  2. Quitting what? The funny part is in all my past adventures through the different sports venues I’ve discovered that Bloom has more supporters on here than anywhere else. In other words not much support at all.
  3. It was pointed out to me several times, and I already knew the answer. Like I said nothing ventured, nothing gained.
  4. I’ll stick to my opinion thank you. To think that most fans opinions are swayed by the mainstream media, and not on their own is completely unsupported. You may get swayed by the media, but I know I don’t.
  5. People who call out Bloom about being cheap already knew the facts that the Sox having one of the highest payrolls in baseball was the results of what happened before Bloom got to Boston, and not what Bloom did. Nothing proved, and nothing gained.
  6. I don’t think most fans go by what the mainstream media say. Fans who watch on NESN, or go to Fenway, and pay the highest priced tickets in baseball can see things for themselves. I don’t think you are giving the fans enough credit to figure things out on their own.
  7. Let’s see now. Paxton is for cheap money, and coming off a injury who used to be a decent pitcher the kind of player that Bloom likes, and he would think of trading him? Bloom would not trade a guy like that he would sign a guy like that. Oh wait he did.
  8. Didn’t most of the budget come pre Bloom?
  9. Disagree, and I would think the uproar by the amount of RedSox fans, and media alike would tell you that, and then again maybe not.
  10. Nowhere good enough for Most of Red Sox fans I would guess though.
  11. Some keep blaming DD for the poor mess that Bloom has found himself in, and the budget, but playing that broken record only has ears for few people, and the rest Never listened in the first place. Bloom has been in charge for 3 years now, and for Most fans he is being held responsible, and should.
  12. If Bogey walks, and Raffy shortly after him that would make losing 3 homegrown future HOF talent in 5 years, and I think JH will feel it in the pocketbook more than just in attendance.
  13. And should be. Even if the Red Sox had gotten into the WS, and won it all in 2021 last years losing last place in the division record would still be unacceptable.
  14. I’m not saying he’s done a good job of it, but only that it should be down on his list of priorities, and not near the top.
  15. The current starting catchers are nothing, but backups.
  16. Well said. Bloom may have been hired to find gems in the rough, but that should be down on the list of priorities. Keeping the Red Sox to be a competitive, winning team that gets into the postseason every year should be #1 on his list, and how he gets, and keeps the Red Sox there is the problem. Retaining homegrown players, trades, FA signings,, and production from the farm should all be a piece of the solution.
  17. I still believe the late signing of Story was, because of JH rabbit ears, and Nothing else. Letting Bogey get to FA was a bad move all the way around, and a more costly one. Same with the Yankees, and Judge.
  18. The worst part to me that even for the Red Sox own players Evol, Bogey, and Raffy Bloom won’t win any bidding wars let alone others on the market. The nightmare on the Old Yawkey Way might just turn out to be the real thing.
  19. Having Bloom in charge is just not a comforting feeling to me. I can’t see the Red Sox outbidding other teams for anyone either.
  20. Sad, bad, and probably true.
  21. Agree, and I’m not big on the Bobby D/ Hosmer combo except that they’re cheap.
  22. Agree, but you would rather have Abreu, or Bobby D/ Hosmer as the DH?
  23. Looks like a 3 yr deal. Not worth it to me. Somewhere around $50M.
  24. Well said, and taking Whitlock out of the pen has already weakened the bullpen further. Lots of hope penning Houck can be a consistent closer, and Schreiber to duplicate last year, and then there is Barnes, and Barnes is anyones guess on what he will be.
  25. Oops missed on Tenn St, but what a messed up schedule with 5 home games in a row, and 5 away games in a row.
