  1. We know he’s going to have money, because the Red Sox won’t come cheap.
  2. Give me any owner who’s willing to spend, and get a real BB guy to run the organization.
  3. You mean like not making a trade in May, or June? I don’t believe deadwood salaries would have any effect either.
  4. I’ve already said Henry has been a good owner, and I Don think anyone is disputing that, but to me I think Henry has outlived his usefulness, and yes you got something right that most fans want any part of any kind of a rebuild let alone 5 years.
  5. It wouldn’t be the first time, but like I say if you can afford to buy the team you can afford to pay the payroll, and I’m not so sure a prospective owner is going over a 40 man roster.
  6. I’m not even counting on Yoshida being another Gary Geiger.
  7. That could go both ways like someone wishing for a Bloom.
  8. Why would Henry care one way, or the other what the payroll would be if he was going to sell, because I can’t see why it would bother someone wanting to buy the team.
  9. And what would be wrong with that?
  10. No evidence, but wishful thinking on my part.
  11. The Red Sox could have just spent $$600M resigning Bogey, and Raffy, and I don’t think it would have any effect one way, or the other on JH selling the Red Sox, or not.
  12. So, because the Red Sox signed Story last offseason that means Henry wouldn’t sell the Red Sox now? That was a year ago, and Henry could have actually thought of a good idea to sell the club.
  13. I repeat if someone can afford to buy the Red Sox they can afford to pay whatever the payroll is. I don’t see who the Red Sox signed, or didn’t sign have anything to do with selling the team, or not.
  14. It served NO purpose to go to arbitration.
  15. If someone can afford to buy the team I’m pretty sure they can afford to pay the payroll no matter what it is.
  16. I haven’t heard anyone, but you that wondered if the Red Sox signed Turner just to put him on the bench, and I’m pretty sure I won’t. You’ve got the floor all to yourself.
  17. Seems like the shoe is on the other foot now, and looks like a perfect fit.
  18. Anything is possible, but it wouldn’t have served any purpose not to get it done.
  19. Maybe you didn’t clarify, and you know what happens when that’s not done correctly.
  20. Devers agrees to $17.5M to avoid arbitration.
  21. That doesn’t surprise me at all considering you were asking if the Red Sox signed Turner just to put him on the bench.
  22. I agree with all, and especially I don’t trust Bloom to do a Raffy trade.
  23. Pivetta. I get what you are getting at, but Bloom didn’t give up anything in the trade. It’s the trades that he does give up something that doesn’t work out so well.
  24. Maybe, but I wouldn’t count on it, and the same with Seabold, who I believe is another stinker.
  25. I admitted I was wrong about that last year, but Stinkin Winkin, and Franchy was a gem of a Bloom trade.
