  1. Good post. It’s called the Infamous Bloom Era.
  2. Yes! Already the Red Sox are worse off today than when Bloom found it despite what some will say about better farm rankings that in some has promise like Bello, and Casas presently, but hasn’t turned that promise into the W column.Firing DD once again does not take away the many failures of Bloom. Deny, Deny accuse. Bloom hasn’t been fired yet, but his day is coming. Bloom hasn’t won any rings yet either, and I’m not sure that day will ever come like it has for DD.
  3. Yes I did, and as usual it meant something different to you that it did to me. Wow analyzing every word to try to guess the meaning like someone else who always gets it wrong too. Congrats, but you got enough to worry about with the shift coming, and if Turner is on the bench, or not. I’m guess he’s not on the bench.
  4. Show me where I have said when everyone has been hyping Bello, and Casas that they are nothing more than promise at this point. I wouldn’t call that producing in a Red Sox uniform.
  5. I haven’t written one word about , or given DD kudos for not trading away any prospects. That’s been your line that you have used often.
  6. Agree, but the spinners have spun so many times they have corkscrewed themselves down miles in the earth.
  7. You got it wrong as usual . The saying goes prospects are useless until the produce in a Red Sox uniform, or are traded for someone who does. Not all minor league players are prospects, and some are just suspects. It’s not that difficult.
  8. WL record, and a ring, and the here, and now is what matters most, and it’s debatable if you will ever understand that. 4 winning seasons, and that ring is what most fans see (not you) , and that’s why fans were telling Bloom, and JH they wanted DD back along with the boos they were giving Bloom.
  9. Ah the 5 yr stretch again that you’ve mentioned TMTTC now that doesn’t change a thing in Bloom’s bad moves, or non moves.
  10. Sounds like a well hyped flawed thinking on your part that the farm was emptied. On the other hand you were all in on the JBJ/Renfroe trade, so it doesn’t surprise me.
  11. Exactly the 4 you mention is not from a emptied farm system.
  12. Bloom gets blamed for making his own mess, and no DD did not empty the Red Sox farm.
  13. You have asked that same question 868 times if DD could have done better than Bloom, and some have answered the same way 868 times that you disagreed with, and the answer is yes. Didn’t you hear the fans shouting to Bloom they wanted DD back when he was trying to explain the Mookie bet. Priceless!
  14. The Red Sox have 9-11 starters with REAL promise? Stinkin Winkin is just that, and Walter, and Murphy are just suspects at this point. You were high on Seabold a year ago. The schedule change doesn’t mean 4 more wins either. The Red Sox won’t have to play as many games inside the Div, but they will be playing more teams with better records that they wouldn’t normally be playing. Finally I’m not counting on being better at D at SS either, so we’ll have to wait, and see on that one.
  15. I’ll second the motion!
  16. Agree, and a good blacksmith may come in handy.
  17. Yes you are wrong again. You look at it as being pessimistic, but I look at it as not going overboard, and being as optimistic as you are. Rankings, and ratings are all over the place depending who you listen to, so I definitely wouldn’t judge anything on just one ranking from Law, or anyone else. Law was just one ranking that was brought up, and that’s why I commented on it.
  18. Spot on. The WL record of the Red Sox is what matters most, and that is the here, and now.
  19. I said they were good to talk about, but i wouldn’t call that any kind of value. Look if it makes people feel better, and it does for some to see a higher ranking, but it doesn’t matter to me one way, or the other. I go watch the SD in Portland, because I like baseball, but I go watch the local colleges too.
  20. That’s what I said they are useful in two ways. 1. Producing in a Red Sox uniform 2. Traded for someone who does.
  21. Fine looks better than 3,4,5… years ago, but does that translate to a better big league club is what’s most important to some.
  22. I still go buy the adage no matter of any rankings that prospects/suspects are useless until they are producing in a Red Sox uniform, or traded for someone who does. They are good to talk about, and dream about, and hope about , and wish about in the meantime though.
  23. Oh the 5 yr lull that we’ve heard about for the 999th time now. We get it. I was against the Sale extension when it happened, because Sale was a TJ waiting to happen at anytime, and I’ve Bashed DD for it ever since. If DD would have landed Betts, and extended Bogey to a contact that stuck I believe the Red Sox would be better off today. Then you would have more to build around more than you have now, and if some of the Bello, Casas, and Mayer types work out then you have something unlike now.
  24. Only time, and production in a big league uniform will tell that, and not some kind of rankng.
  25. DD squandered the farm? Getting Kimbrel, and Sale was nowhere near a squander, and saying most felt is was squandered is an over exaggeration. Even Moncada has not lived up to the hype.
