  1. Wow! LMAO at all of this, and all over a ball club that’s not worth all the fuss, and bother.
  2. Stupid assumption just like it was with Story, and I don’t think DD would do that. On the other hand Bloom knew Story had a elbow problem.
  3. Results do clearly matter to me with the most important the WL record of the big league club. I was against the Bloom signing from day 1.
  4. This we agree on, but if this is the best he can do after 4 years on the job he needs to go.
  5. For all the hype before his arrival I would say he’s been a failure to me so far at 1B, and with the bat. I’m sure you feel differently, but as always we see things differently.
  6. I was talking about Bloom.
  7. Criticize is not hate whether it’s Bloom, or anyone else. Kike anyone?
  8. No, but he buys the groceries.
  9. Two different ways of looking at things. You seem to be hung up on the words, and I’m hung up on the results.
  10. Is he, or is he not trying to talk over the boos raining down on him? If it makes it better for you that he was asked a question then fine, but it doesn’t change that he was talking over the boos, and the boo birds were right then, and are right now. B O O.
  11. And the crowd didn’t like the answers, so talking over the boos got him, or the Red Sox nowhere kind of like what you are trying to do now talking over the boos.
  12. My eyes are good enough to tell me that Casas doesn’t have much of a clue on playing 1B, and while his hitting has improved he is not anyone I would want to give a long term Braves like contract to just yet.
  13. The crowd wasn’t smelling what Bloom was, or is cooking, so what may be weird to you doesn’t mean it would be weird to others. Weird was a good TV show though.
  14. And the eye test has shown you neither one has been that good. Raffy has definitely not been as good as his power numbers suggest. The eye test gives you a lot better idea how these guys have done.
  15. Just the sight of seeing Bloom’s face turns my stomach, and him trying to talk over the crowd at the meet, and greet last offseason shows what an ass clown he really is. He is good at picking up trash in the stands though, so at least that’s one good thing about him, because he’s definitely not Awesome, and neither is the team.
  16. Wow what a road trip! The Red Sox could only split with a watered down Twins team, and only took 1 of 3 from a watered down White Sox team. Maybe, because the Red Sox are just a watered down team themselves, and in a watered down league are in their regular claimed spot of last place in the Div, and out of the post season AGAIN. Year 4 of the Bloom, GLOOM, and DOOM regime, and last week in a game against the Twins the Red Sox couldn’t even beat the Felger, and Mass show going head to head in the 25-54 male TV audience. As a matter of fact not only did F&M double their audience, but 6 other shows beat the Red Sox as well. This team has become a second rate organization from the way they are shown on NESN to the production on the field. To some like me the sky has been falling since the day Bloom was hired, but to the old small contingent of Bloom supporters on here, and nowhere else Bloom has the team going in the right direction. Sad, but true. Playoffs? Did someone say playoffs??
  17. Football may be different, and I don’t think the Packers of the 60’s would be as good today where players are a lot bigger, and stronger, and no I don’t think the Bears were one of the best teams ever. Baseball is different, and you ought to know by now that getting challenged doesn’t bother me at all on an opinion, and that opinion won’t change no matter how many times, and how long you try. We disagree, and always will.
  18. Bird, and Magic had to battle against each other. Jordan wouldn’t have won so much if he would have gone against either team. Lebron, and Steph could have played in any era, but their teams wouldn’t have been so successful in the 80’s. The three time champion A’s, and the Big Red Machine of the 70’s would have been good in any era too as would Drysdale, Koufax, and Gibson. Just my opinion as is the watered down stigma.
  19. Athletic today yes, but that doesn’t mean they would beat teams from the past. Baltimore may have better record the last few years, but is it because they are that much better, or is it because the teams above them have dropped off. It’s not just baseball as I’ve said other sports as well have watered down. The Bird led teams of the 80’s, and the Magic led teams of the 80’s I believe would destroy teams of today. You, and Lou can share your opinion, but it doesn’t change mine.
  20. And balanced to some mean better.
  21. You have your opinion, and I have mine, and I will stick to that opinion. I’ve been saying watered down for a few years now. I could care less how many guys can throw 95mph. Ort can throw 95 mph. Just look at the talent level between the 2018 Red Sox, and what is on the field today. The Yankees also are an old broken down team getting older everyday. 60’s, 70’s, 80’s take your pick had better teams than today. We’ve gone over this before, and nothing changed then, and nothing will change now. I’m sticking to my opinion.
  22. If it gets to the point this year that the team should sell, and does sell, and that the future looks so bleak of making the postseason this year in a watered down league than a complete sell off should be done starting with Bloom, and Cora, and they can take the BIG guy JH with them.
  23. I don’t think it would have made a difference in 2020 if Tito, Dick Williams, or Don Zimmer would have been the manager. Even Bobby V.
  24. Kike is riding the bench again tonight.
