  1. One thing that no one has mentioned this year with all of Raffy’s ups, and downs is that he’s stayed healthy. You always cringe at one of his mighty swings that a pull is just a moment away.
  2. Cora was rotating when Duran was still in the lineup, so I suspect he will still do the same. Big difference though is that Duvall has gotten hot, and Masa is not.
  3. What a difference 2 days have made. The Red Sox dropped the first 2 games to Houston, and had dropped 4+5 games back to the teams ahead of them in the wildcard, and now they are 2+3 games back to the two teams ahead of them for the wildcard after taking the last two from Houston. Big change in just two days. From gloom, and doom to hope, and promise again. Who knows what happens from here, because things have gone back, and fourth so many times this year.
  4. Between DH, and rest he’s had time off.
  5. To rest him again, or to bench him.
  6. Speaking of hot bats. Is there any bat hotter than Mookie’s right now? Hope it doesn’t rain on his parade tomorrow, because the forecast is not looking to promising.
  7. A good end to a up, and down road trip. Unfortunately scoring 17 runs still only counted as 1 win. Now we’ll see if the hot bats carry over, or it goes back to slumber in the lumber.
  8. Very small sample size so far in Boston, so we’ll have to see how long the shine will stay, but at the moment I will say it was a good deal for Vaz.
  9. Abreu is the shiny object at the moment, and Cora likes shiny objects, so it’ll be interesting to see how he handles this. Looking forward I’m not sold on Duran yet.
  10. I think Dugy has started to hit better since he got put back at leadoff, and Duvall has started to get hot again, so it will be interesting on a nightly basis.
  11. Here’s a question at the moment. To keep Abreu in the lineup who do you sit? Casas Dugy Yoshida
  12. Maine numbers have definitely dwindled up in the county, and Central Maine as well. I’m not sure about down in your neck of the woods in the Southern part.
  13. High school numbers in Maine 1965? High school numbers inMaine 2020?
  14. Another this is there are just less kids period. School numbers are way down in surrounding towns where I grew up from back when I went to school in the 60’s, and early 70’s.
  15. He only beat up a phone. Sale beat up a TV.
  16. Nah, if there were no scouts there I would say no. Only touted, and scouted should count.
  17. I played basketball in the same high school gym that Jerry West, and Elgin Baylor once practiced in. Does that count?
  18. Unfortunately he wasn’t the only one.
  19. The saw me pitch statement is 100% true, but why he was there would have to be embellished a little more.
  20. Are there, or were there an athlete in this bunch of opinionated critics? My story is true, and can be confirmed, verified or whatever you want. Polygraph, or hand on the Bible true, so poh, poh away. Who would have thunk it?
  21. All you guys are all jealous, because a Red Sox scout never came, and saw you pitch. Before you say anything 100% true story.
  22. I don’t know about that. When I was 9 those 12 yr olds threw pretty dam hard. Of course it was great when I was 12.
  23. Candlepin doesn’t exist that much up here anymore either.
  24. It used to be summertime back in my day was strictly baseball, but now basketball, and soccer travel has taken over. I wished there were all this travel stuff back then. Little league was a lot tougher back then too. 9-12 yr olds all played against each other. Big difference between a 9-12 yr old. Now it’s 9-10, and 11-12.
