  1. I keep saying to me bringing Turner back is a must. As for the OF are you confident to pencil in Duran full time? Abreu full time? Rafaela?
  2. Good one! He did play a few innings, and had a short stint on the bases.
  3. You can’t count again on Sale at all. Bello is the most likely out of the bunch to improve, and get better. Houck, and Whit I still like better in the pen. Pivetta is the most likely to show up for every start, and give you innings, but remember why he was taken out of the rotation earlier in the season to begin with. He was better in the pen too. Kut Man has done a decent job, but I don’t see him more than a 4, or 5, and like to see more starts, before he is penciled into the rotation next year.
  4. I heard the press conference on the post game last night. He did take blame, and usually does when things don’t go well. Did someone check the TV in the clubhouse to see if it is still working though?
  5. Originally when Rafaela came up yesterday Cora said he would probably be starting today, so I guess he changed his mind, and didn’t want to bench someone, so he could play.
  6. If he wasn’t hired to make the team to be competitive, and in the postseason every year than what’s the use. You should be able to make the farm better too. Sam Kennedy said all of baseball ops failed last year by not making the postseason. What will he say this year if the same results occur?
  7. The pummeled France last time, and Bello shut Houston down, and went seven. Need another effort like that again tonight.
  8. Surprise on Hamilton, but not on the RAF Man starting.
  9. Having three starters go out at the same time put a big hurt on things, and add the demise of the opening day starter in Kluber didn’t help either, but we all knew going into the season, and counting on this bunch to stay healthy was a risky proposition at best, and Sale did not disappoint. Whitlock getting hurt was not a big surprise to me either.
  10. Outside of getting some actual reliable starters, and no I don’t know who when Houck, Sale, and Whit went down? Nothing!
  11. At the time yes I did, but it wasn’t just me, but players alike.
  12. I know I asked the question last offseason who said the Red Sox would spend up to the tax line, because I was under I’ll believe it when I see it mode, and I’m still in that mode when it comes to starting pitching.
  13. Yes the Vaz trade did turn out to be good, but is Bloom just to Indecisive to do anything else one way, or the other?
  14. I still stick to what I said there are so many differing reports out there you don’t know who to believe, but every one is believing something. All I’m saying it was taken for granted these past 4 years that it was all JH to say to trade Mookie, and now I’m just not all that sure.
  15. Yes this cluster f—- was a big, big difference.
  16. That damm third option in the fork in the road that Bloom is still looking for again, and you are right it makes no one happy, and doesn’t help the team. Not for 1 year, but two years in a row now.
  17. No it was not you who said this was Bloom’s make, or break year, but Moon.
  18. I’ve never noticed that.🙈
  19. I really don’t think JH is into the day to day operation of the team so much that he is telling Bloom not to trade prospects, and after the report I read the other day that said JH never told Bloom Mookie had to be traded to stay under the dreaded tax line that makes me even more weary about Bloom.
  20. I never said you defend everything the Red Sox, or Bloom does, because you don’t, but I think it’s always your first thought.
  21. Seems to me I remember someone saying last year that this year (2023) would be Bloom’s make, or break year. I guess he’s broken.
  22. Huh? That’s what I thought talking about a trade that happened in 2020.
  23. Did Houston do anything at the deadline to try, and improve the team? Seems to me they did.
  24. I know you have this same reply already to go. It looks like it’s loser baseball no matter which way it went. How many more prospects do you need unless it’s starting pitches? I get it that you just want the Red Sox to keep kicking the can down the road. How is that not loser baseball?
  25. You don’t think $100M is high for a DH? I have no idea what is out there for starting pitching, but I keep hearing the Red Sox have to many players who should DH. Nonsense was last nights game.
