  1. I want trades for younger pitchers who still have control left, and yes I fully understand that trades are far from a guarantee, but I would rather give up a prospect then overpay for guys like Monty, and Snell. To me the Red Sox have waited way too long to try, and make the starting pitching better. I don’t subscribe to the theory like most that you have to be on the verge of winning right now to improve things. Look how much salaries up gone up just the last two years.
  2. Cora has been fed up for two years now, so I don’t think it is hard to know that he wouldn’t put up with another two especially after supposedly going full throttle this year after two losing last place finishes.
  3. I have no idea. Brez might have been way down on the list if not so many had said no to even an interview.
  4. I answered that before any of this FA period started when all the estimates were a lot lower. No, no, and no. Trade, trade, trade.
  5. Agree 100%. Overhyped, and overpriced. Complete dog, and pony show that the Red Sox shouldn’t even have shown up for considering the competition.
  6. Green- Red-Blue.
  7. Nobody said you did. The point being just, because you would be drooling wouldn’t mean by a long shot that Cora would too over the same prospect of prospects. Cora wants, and has wanted to win now.
  8. Nobody knows what Cora was offered for a role in the FO, but either way I don’t think Cora is, or will be anytime soon. Brez in place now may have changed that.
  9. Cora pulled the strings at the end of last season, and held the door open for Bloom when he left.
  10. At least the Mets were given a second interview. Something the Red Sox didn’t get.
  11. If the Mets, Yankees, Dodgers, and Red Sox all offered the very same contract 99.99% certainly that The Big O, and the Yam Man would have still ended up with the Dodgers.Wonder why that would have been.🤭
  12. I think the Yam Man wanted to go the Dodgers anyway especially after the BIG O signed there.
  13. Been out of the loop the past 4 days with a power outage, so haven’t been able to keep up on things. I take it I haven’t missed anything as far as the Red Sox are concerned. I see the Yam Man dog, and pony show is finally over, and glad to see the struggling Dodgers get their man. The Red Sox must have been in it right to the end.
  14. Who knows what Cora was offered before, and that was before Breslow was hired, so that offer might still not be there, or be what it was. What you would drool over, and what Cora would drool over are most likely two entirely different things. From the way Cora talked at the end of this past season when he said it doesn’t matter what you’re farm ranking is, but but what you do, or don’t do in October is what’s most important. In other words the here, and now is most important, and has been the last two years, so I don’t think Cora is drooling over what, or what might not happen down the road. You’d be drooling if things looked good in 2030.🤭🙈.
  15. The same reason that players went to Texas last year after the disastrous 2022 season even though Texas made some big signings before the 2022 season.
  16. Bogey ending up being massively overpaid by SD isn’t an issue. The issue is that Bogey should have been locked up long before he had a chance to opt-out. The CBO drama was seen throughout MLB, and beyond.
  17. It’s more than just two 78 win seasons. Letting Bogey go, and trading Mookie weren’t good looks for Boston. Not to mention that 10+ candidates wouldn’t even interview for what Sam thinks is the most prestigious job in baseball in being the HOBO of the Boston Red Sox.
  18. I don’t think the prospect of having so many suspects maybe a year , or two away with the possibility of living up to lots of hype is any lure of any FA coming to Boston. Now if the Red Sox still had Mookie, and Bogey to go with Raffy it would look a lot better.
  19. Boris is loving every second of this too.
  20. Ohtani didn’t want NY.
  21. Cohen went to Japan earlier, and had The Yam Man over to his house for dinner last night, so Cohen sounds pretty serious to me. The Yankees will also get a second meeting with the Yam Man. Sounds, and looks more, and more like NY, NY to me. So much for the Red Sox getting the last meeting.
  22. The Yam Man had dinner at Cohens house last night. I guess JH was to busy.🤫
  23. Obviously the guys like the BBQ. KC has stated they are all in to win the Div next year.
  24. True on Pepen, but he only has insight into the Red Sox offer?
  25. With multiple clauses, and incentives for both player, and team. Leaks only for Boston’s offer.🤫
