  1. You will always have stuff like this as long as you have divisions, and just don’t put teams in by the most wins. At this point I’m not counting on 84 wins for the Red Sox next year anyway, but I hope things change on that senecio.
  2. You wouldn’t take the Red Sox getting in with 84 wins? Luck, or not I’d take it.
  3. The DBacks are playing good ball when it matters most, and have knocked off the Dodgers, and Phillies. It doesn’t matter how they got it done, or by whom.
  4. Fortunately the DBacks aren’t in the AL East, and unfortunately the Red Sox are where they have been since Day 1 of divisions coming in to play.
  5. Chapman is NOTHING, but a pipe dream like it was with him, and Gallo, and he liked the JBJ trade.🙈
  6. I not saying they shouldn’t. It’s just that recently they haven’t had much success in developing their own.
  7. I agree on the pitching part, but I don’t think you need to rest every day players the last month if the team is out of it. Should Raffy been rested? Like I said fans pay big bucks especially in Boston, and want to see their best team on the field when they go watch them.
  8. ND already talking about the transfer portal for a QB in 2024. Wow!
  9. Why pile up innings on arms, or play guys every day who are near a full season, and could use some rest? Maybe fans who are paying big bucks, and have bought tickets to see the players play months in advance want to see them play. Also if you’re playing teams still in postseason contention you should put your best team out there.
  10. If You deliberately try to lose then don’t play at all. Future winning be dammed. If you try to lose you’re a loser in more ways than one. Bloom was a loser.
  11. Agree on Dugo. Duvall would have been an option for another year, but at 35 he’s lost a step from when he last won a Gold Glove a few years ago, and that wasn’t playing RF in Fenway. I wouldn’t give him 2-3 years now.
  12. Bresknows Best. Smarter than all the rest.
  13. After being out, and about this afternoon, and after talking with other fans, and listening to other venues the majority of opinions on Breslow was take him, or leave him, and not very strong at that. The biggest concern seems to be that he has never been close to being in charge before, and getting someone who has, and more experienced would have been a better option. Of course all of those wouldn’t even interview. I’m all for giving him a chance, and he’s got to be better than Bloom. Let’s get the WS over with, and let’s see what Breslow can do.
  14. As usual a day late, and a dollar short for the show. The comment was about his last two years in Boston.
  15. That would probably confuse Sam.🙈
  16. Correction on the above that had Bloom traded some top prospects for someone who was producing for the big league club the team would be better for it even if it weakened the farm. Kind of like when DD traded top prospects for Sale, and Kimbrel. It weakened the farm system, but most importantly made the big league club better, which should always be the priority.
  17. DD had a pretty loaded team his last two years in Boston, so, because he didn’t trade any top prospects i wouldn’t lump that in with Bloom’s years, and say see DD didn’t trade any top prospects either, so the order must have came down from JH not to do so. As for the 40 man had Bloom traded some of the top prospects who were producing for the big league club it wouldn’t matter if the farm was a little worse off. The top priority is the big league club. Not the farm.
  18. abloom wilted on the vine.🤭
  19. I just hope he doesn’t say things are going to be AWESOME.
  20. It fitted a narrative to take the blame off Bloom. It worked for some.
  21. No evidence for A, or B, but the A has been spouted on more then anything on here to make it look like JH was holding Bloom back on what he could, or couldn’t do when it came to prospects. It’s my opinion, and nothing else that it was all on Bloom who couldn’t pull the trigger.
  22. I’m up for the Bres for the Pres.👍👍👍
  23. There is NO evidence whatsoever that Bloom was told a decent prospect couldn’t be traded, and the fact that one wasn’t under the failed Bloom regime was a result of Bloom’s decision making and nothing to do with orders from JH.
  24. With Bloom the promise of the future was overcome by the discomfort of the present. Great line I just read. Of course his favorite character was UnderDog, which didn’t help either.
  25. I can’t wait for the press conference to see Sam The Sham gush, and say we got our man, and this is who we wanted right from the start.
