  1. I’m fully convinced that Bloom didn’t make any trades with top prospects was his decision alone. Spending more I don’t believe was.
  2. First no one knows outside of SS who is going to be playing at any of those positions next year. I was just mainly talking about 1B, and 3B.
  3. You was the one who mentioned Bloom about putting him back in a box. Bloom will be talked about for years to come, and will go down just as a sour footnote in the history of the Red Sox.
  4. Along with a ticket price increase.
  5. It was figured out before the 43 games were played, and I bet Cora’s decision more than anybody.
  6. We’ll see if that plan changes, which I doubt, because most likely it was Cora’s plan too.
  7. Bloom was the piece of coal in your Christmas stocking.
  8. Like I said earlier that I’m fine to see what Breslow, and Cora can put together for a team, but as we all know new toys are only as good as how good they work.
  9. Unless Raffy, and Casas improve on D next year that part won’t change is right.
  10. Think what you want, but I said it a year ago when many on here was saying Story should stay at 2B, and the Red Sox needed to go out, and get a SS that the plan was Story was going to be the SS, which only changed when he got hurt.
  11. He’s the shiny new toy on Christmas morning.
  12. He not just the front runner. He’s it.
  13. Story has already been figured out as the SS, and has been since Bogey left town.
  14. Bloom’s best public skill was picking up trash in the stands between games. AWESOME.
  15. True the BP is pretty well set, and could be even deeper if some of the guys who finished in the rotation go back to the BP. Starting pitching, starting pitching, and more starting pitching.
  16. True, but that doesn’t take much comparing him to Bloom.
  17. Playing for the Red Sox, and living in the area has nothing to do with giving him more perspective on how the front office works. I was referring to the whole Boston experience in general.
  18. I’m all for trading Jansen if they could come up with someone younger who would be around longer.
  19. Lack of experience is a big concern. I have no idea who the Red Sox were interested in after firing Bloom, and if Breslow would have still been in the mix had not so many slammed the door in the Red Sox face, and declined to interview. At any rate he’s here now, and living in the area, and playing for the Red Sox he must have some idea what he’s getting into, where I don’t think Bloom ever did, so I’m all for giving him a chance to see what him, and Cora can put together.
  20. I don’t believe that will be a problem in 2024, and the Red Sox will be strictly BUYERS.
  21. After listening to Sam The Sham’s great introduction at the press conference today, and Breslow answering questions is everyone all in?
  22. Given up on 2024 already? The only reason you should trade him is if the Red Sox are sucking again, and are out of postseason contention. For the 3rd offseason in a row it’s fire sale talk, and trading pieces off, before the season even starts. Always worrying about the future, and getting more prospects instead of the present. Bloom’s gone, and I expect things to be better this year, and there will be no need for any sell offs at the trade deadline, and maybe doing some buying instead.🙈
  23. Great job by Nate, and glad it happened for him.
  24. I remember the Yom Kipper saga with Koufax. Like I mentioned earlier the SP in those days like Koufax, Drysdale, and Gibby had as big a name as the sluggers. I became a Dodgers, and Cardinals fan in the early 60’s, because they played against the Yankees in the WS. Didn’t care so much for Gibson though in 67.
