    You guys crack me up that you are so protective of the Suspects on here compared to all the other different venues.

    Huh? I agree with you that suspects shouldn’t have all the hype, and expectations heaped on them, because as you say players don’t show up in their prime as a rookie, so I would never do such a thing. Here’s the thing though that in the here, and now games still count in the standings whether suspects are ready to play, or not, and I have no hope of you understanding this, and that we can agree on.😉

    That may sound good to you, but 1 HR, and 4 RBI along with all his K’s is more telling to me, along with lack of throwing arm in the OF. That’s what counts, and the old eye test showed plenty in this case.

    Everyone remembers what little a looked like last year before he got hurt, and that’s why he had so much hype, and expectations put on him this year. Then after playing in the. WBC the hype, and expectations went higher. When the season started he looked like a completely different player, and outside of drawing some walks he stood at the plate many times with the bat on his shoulder taking strike three not to mention his girly throwing from the outfield.🤭

    That’s something I brought up many times with Cora that when the team was struggling to score runs the team didn’t try to manufacture them like bunting. Cora was stubborn that way.

    The difference is no one is questioning the Cro Man’s ability, and what he brings to the table. Big difference between him, and Marshmallow/little a. I don’t think it’s any big surprise that the Cro Man had some problems this year after having his first heavy workload of innings last year.

    Not surprising at all to me, or to the many that have done so. I don’t care if it’s only 100 total appearances between them. It’s the old here, and now, and what have you done for me lately, and lately that is not to much especially, because Marshmallow, and little a can’t stay on the field. It’s not a total write off yet, but hype, hope, and expectations only go so far.

    NO goal post moved at all. I wasn’t the one who mentioned Yoshida in the first place. As usual late to the conversation, got it wrong, and didn’t even add a cent to the conversation let alone two. You’ve tried to run the biggest pawnshop on here with your suggested trades especially for Masa, Duran, and Story. Must have gone broke by now with NO takers.

    Pawn off is my words. Huh? Huh? You don’t think the Red Sox have been trying to get rid of Masa for at least two years now with NO success? I also don’t believe, and especially now that Story is in any low demand let alone high demand. I have no idea what Mets fans think about Lindor, and nor do I care, but I would take a hard pass on him in a Red Sox uniform.

    So you would pawn off Duran, and Mayer as a Red Sox fan, but would want them as a Met fan?🤭 Never been a pulse of RSN, but have a lot more of a notion than what you do, and that’s the bottom line cause Stone Cold says so.

    Saying you wouldn’t be a good example of what a Mets fan would like is speaking for Mets fans? You wouldn’t be a good example for anything, so you answered, and I answered back that you would be a bad example.

    HE was DFA twice, so it seems the Red Sox could have gotten him a lot cheaper at some point, but I guess they had to wait until he started hitting some HR, which cost more.

    You liking something is not even a good example of what a Mets fan fan would like to start with, and throw in reports the Mets aren’t interested in unloading, or rebuilding it’s nothing from nothing leaves nothing.🙈

    Most of the trade suggestions on here are to pawn off Red Sox players you don’t want like Duran, and Mayer. If you were a Met fan would you be high on them? That’s how I look at all these suggested trades if it sounds viable for Both teams.

    I’m not saying it doesn’t sound good for the starters, and I haven’t heard the Red Sox say what the innings plan is for the starters.

    Like I said from what was reported the other night the Mets aren’t going into not looking to unload, or rebuild.

    As they said the other night the Mets aren’t going into any rebuilding mode anyway, and I think there is a slimmer chance than none of this happening.

    I get all that, but as I said it’s a good way to burn out the BP faster with 1 less pitcher in it. How many teams go with a 6 man rotation, or have one right now? I don’t care about how many innings a guy pitches, because they break down anyway at some point. They don’t make em like they used to. Also to pitch deep into Oct you have to get there first.

    so 1 less guy in the BP, and if you don’t get a lot of long starts it’s a good way to BO the BP faster.
