  1. Casas gets his first action today.
  2. I’ll adventure to say that anytime since Brez took over the Red Sox even when he was sitting down talking a crap did he even ponder the idea of signing Chapman for the Red Sox, and making all the moves you suggested. If they can’t spend money on SP. they won’t be spending it on anything else.
  3. 🤭🙈👍👍👍
  4. The Red Sox now pretty much have a $100M DH. Devers at some point might move to 1B, but Not for the foreseeable future with Casas already there. You want to make Raffy a $300M DH? Once again Raffy, and Casas are set at their positions for the foreseeable future like it, or not. Like I’ve said before posters on here I think worry more about the Red Sox D than the Red Sox themselves warranted, or not.
  5. Keep talking about adding Chapman is Nothing more that a brain fart. Which part of Raffy, and Casas being kept at their positions for the foreseeable future don’t you understand? Just like another brain fart who keeps talkin about making Raffy the backup 1B. Not happening anytime soon. Even the contract that Chapman got is way to expensive for the big spenders that the Red Sox currently are.🙈🤭
  6. Not a dropped ball at all. The Red Sox already have a 1B, and a 3B who won’t be moving anywhere anytime soon. Another Bellinger contract too with 2 opt outs.
  7. They could trade Duran, but that would have NO bearing on adding Chapman to the Red Sox.🙈🤭🤮
  8. 3B: Raffy 150 GS 1B Casas 140 GS 3B Chapman 150 GS in another uniform. 🤭🙈
  9. Duran in lineup today for 1st time, and in LF with the RAF Man in CF, and Abreu in RF.
  10. Poor Monty once again being in the wrong place at the wrong time under some wrong circumstances. Seems to be a common theme. 🤭🙈
  11. Monty went 6-7 in 2021 for a 92 win Yankees team, which was one of those two years YOU mentioned.
  12. He’s scheduled to pitch Sat.
  13. Like these rankings are the gospel.
  14. If the so called great Monty would have been better in 2021 you know like win 7 games instead of 6 the Yankees would have beaten out the Red Sox.
  15. Once again not disputed, and well known.
  16. NO ONE has to respond at all. Just, because a poster pointed out that the most wins Montgomery has ever muster in a year was ten, and he’d only did it one time does not mean it should cause such a stir that’s been going on for two days now over, and over, and over again. You’re the one trying to tell someone else that it’s meaningless. Meaningless to you certainly doesn’t mean it’s meaningless to everyone as it’s been proven time, and time again on here. One opinion doesn’t suit one for all, and all for one, and that’s a fact. I certainly don’t comment on everything I disagree with, so maybe you should do the same. Put your bells, and whistles away. They don’t work.
  17. That’s an easy one. That’s the best in wins he’s ever done, and he’s only done it ONE time.🤭🙈🤭
  18. Monty has just had so much bad luck, and run into bad circumstances not to mention playing on all those bad bad Yankee teams. It’s not all his fault.
  19. 100% agreement. 2 days of Monty part 2, and no one has solved a thing, or changed their mind, but of course just to say we agree to disagree would be strictly forbidden, or prohibited on here, because of course to the sum of the few on talksox there can only be one opinion.
  20. No one is disputing any of these facts you are throwing out there, and I will acknowledge that starting pitching isn’t what it used to be. Like I have said more than once that starting pitchers used to have as big a name as the sluggers. Sandy, and Gibby vs Willie, and Hank. Monty isn’t even close, or in the same breath as the basest pitchers in the game has ever seen, but you would think will all the airtime he’s gotten on here that he was.
  21. For all DD’s winning he no doubt has made some bad decisions before like resigning Sale, which was a MAJOR cluster of a FU, so to say DD did something, so it must be right I would say is a BAD example.🙈🤭
  22. Both have had double digit wins 5 times. Nola was resigned. Maybe Monty is just a late bloomer, and will do it again, but then again maybe he won’t.🙈🤭🤫
  23. I know, and have never disputed all the things that go into a pitcher’s W-L record, and it depends on how deep you want to dig. Like I’ve said before I notice W-L record, and ERA first, and then look at hits, K’s, BB per innings, and how many HR they give up.
  24. It’s not crazy at all when it comes to a starting pitchers W-L record. There are so many different things that goes into it. It could be just as simple as one starter on a staff always seems to get more runs for him when he pitches, and one always pitches when the team scores less runs. If you sit down, and count the number of things that can go into a pitchers W-L record the number is way up there, so you would have to interpret many things unless you are a Pedro type, and even then there could be a few circumstances.
  25. Good try? I’m not trying anything. I said all this before FA even started months ago. Why would you sign Monty to a lot more money than Wacha if you could get the same, or better results from Wacha for less money? I wouldn’t.
