Playtime is over, and now on to Seattle, and to play for real. A West Coast road trip is a good way to start the season especially an early March start, which is a rainy in the 40’s forecast in Boston on Thursday, and Friday, so enjoy the late games, and hopefully a good start.

I think to much analysis is being made here. Of course I know that never happens. I’m just not going with the Sox are in good hands with Brez, and Bailey making pitching decisions yet. Just, because Brez was an ex-pitcher, and Bailey replaced Bush to me doesn’t mean the same pitchers especially the starting rotation is going to be better, because of it. That’s all I’m saying. If it happens great, but I’m on a wait, and see approach.

The trust meter with the team, or the trust meter that Bailey, and Brez is going to make the pitching staff better? I’m not counting on the latter.

I agree to a point, but when you have 5 leftovers, and a new chef is trying to make a good 5 course meal out of it I’ll believe it when I see it.

Live in misery 24/7? That’s all I’ve pretty much heard on here since before FA season started. How many times have I heard sham, sham, sham being spouted.I on the other had have preached patience, and said to wait until March 28 to see what the team looks like. Well March 28 is upon us. I Never thought the Red Sox would sign any of the top Big money FA to begin with, and they didn’t. I didn’t buy into the full throttle to begin with. On the other hand I thought the Red Sox would trade a prospect , or two to get some starting pitching, and that didn’t happen. Who is mad about any middle reliever, or watching Whitlock in a recurring role in a re-run of the starting rotation show? I not mad, excited, or interested. If it works out then great, but until it happens it the same old show with the same old results. Like I keep saying Whitlock is ONLY back in the rotation by default.

It’s amazing to me that Brez, and Bailey has won the trust of some on here, and they haven’t done much of anything yet. Before it was trust in Bloom, and Cora, but where did that get the team? A losing/last place in the Div team. Now if Brez, and Bailey can turn this re-run show of a starting rotation in to must watch TV then all the power to them, but I’m in a wait, and see mode on that one. One poster on here was touting the SP stats in ST, which was also against a lot of minor league players, and doesn’t mean much at all. I hope Bailey has his running shoes on, because Bush ran marathons out to the mound last year.🤭🙈

It’s always good to watch a good CF track down fly balls in the OF, and someone who can pick ‘em at SS. Also agree on Casas. The starting pitching is another matter, and re-runs of the same show as last year. I’m not in the camp that Brez, and Bailey are going to make these guys better, so we’ll have to wait, and see on that one. I’ve said for the last two years that Houck, and Whit should stay in the pen, but being cheap options for the rotation is where they’ll be again.

Maybe, but as I’ve said for two years now, both Whit, and Houck should be in the pen, and would be if not for being cheap options for the rotation.

We’ve already seen the Houck, and Whitlock show, and we’ve also seen the re-runs. Not that good a show to be brought back for a third year, but at least they’re a cheap production.

If the Yankees offer to Snell 5 yrs/$150M was real, and turned down that’s all on BorASS.

As I call them OB, and the Yuckers. Definitely not a first rate crew. OB was tolerable when REM Dawg, and Eck were around, but now the broadcast team, is kind of like the team they are broadcasting, which is not very good.🙈🤭

JH seems to have turned into an WWE character. Gone from hero to a villain, and appears to like playing his newer role.

True blue, and now neither Snell, or Monty will be ready to start the season now that this has been dragged on so long.

I agree, and I’ve been saying that for sometime now that you don’t have to wait until you really think that now is the time to go for it to improve the team.

I heard an interview with McAdams this morning, and he said his opinion was it was only a 10% chance of signing Monty before Gio was injured,and now he believes it’s gone down to 5%. He said Monty wasn’t good enough to take a 500, or below team, and make it a playoff contender, so he didn’t see JH giving the go ahead for Monty.

It could be a combination of all the things mentioned, but either way it doesn’t appear to have worked out. Like I said before that Gio wasn’t going to make, or break this season anyway for the Red Sox, and I don’t believe his injury is going to shake up JH to get on the phone with Brez all desperate, and ask what are we going to do now our season just went down the drain, and tell Brez to now go full throttle, and go out, and sign Monty, or Snell.

I don’t by your theory that the Red Sox signed Sale knowing he would be out 18 months with TJ, and hoped he would come back as good as ever, but signed him for 5 years anyway at any kind of going rate. I said it was a bad idea to resign Sale the day it happened, and it was.
