Like I stated earlier that the Red Sox are paying out $40M this year to JT, Sale, and Gio. Think that doesn’t have anything to do with adding more payroll?

Does it really matter one way, or the other? Some see it one way, and some see it another. Some like to analyze more than others. Trust the one who started things to know what they meant, and any questions ask them, and then go from there. It Should be easy peasy.

We’ve gone over that a 1000 times already, so everyone is entitled to their own conclusions. For me I was against the hiring the second it was announced.

JH putting the shackles on the payroll for whoever was in charge was the main clue. It certainly wasn’t blaming Bloom for not having the money to spend. The PBA still lives on here as do the Bloom Bashers.

I’ve been saying for 3 yrs now that JH has used up his usefulness, and it was time to sell, and move on, but I kept hearing be careful what you wish for. I guess you can’t please everyone.

Well March 28 is finally here. Is everyone excited? For me I’ll be watching March Madness tonight, and then the Celtics, and Bruins will be in the PS for who knows how long, so the Red Sox will be on the back burner for awhile, so hopefully when they come to the front they will be somewhat relevant. Good luck to those who will be keeping a close eye on things.

I still don’t get the Gio signing. If the Red Sox wasn’t going to do anything else why spend $18M on a pitcher that now goes close to $40M. Speaking of $40M that’s pretty much what the Red Sox are paying JT, Sale, and Gio this year. I’m sure JH is just thrilled with that.🙈🤭

Story Land has been closed more often than opened so far in his tenure in Boston. Some for repair, and maintenance, and some for just plain sucking. The glove is there, and now the bat has to match.

You have said this 100 time about JH past history on spending, and that’s all that is past history. Do you honestly think that JH is the same as JH today?

Again like I said before FA even started that just, because there was a big need out there for starting pitching, and Snell, and Monty were available doesn’t mean they were worth long, and big contracts, and they didn’t get them at least in length, which is very weird from what all the pundits were saying, and predicting especially after what the Big O, and the Yam Man signed for. I can’t see any collusion out there if the Yankees offer to Snell was actually offered. BorASS didn’t win this time.

Irrelevant to you, because I said before FA even started that the Red Sox would not be signing any top money FA pitchers, and now I can sleep good tonight knowing that Snell, and Monty have finally found a home to go to.👏

Do Snell for what?The Red Sox are paying $10M more to Gio, and Atlanta for Sale than the D Backs are paying for Monty.

That’s funny, because I said he wasn’t worth the money he was projected to get before FA started, and I don’t think he worth the money he’ll get now especially since you won’t get a full year out of him. I had said that there was a need for starting pitching, and he was available is why he would get the money in the first place, and even then he would help the Red Sox.

Only $7M more than Gio, but I’m sure he wouldn’t have signed for that back when Gio was signed.

1 yr/$25M, and a player option. BorASS isn’t making out as good as he thought before all this FA stuff began.
