    $140M is a lot of money to spend on repairs, and maintenance for Story Land to be only open for a short time each year.

    What ever the solution I expected it to be a cheap one, and so far the solution is calling up the Ham Man, and Romy.

    Cora says there is concern with the bone structure, and surgery is possible, and back to LA to see a doctor. A platoon at SS with Romy, and the Ham Man, and Grissom will get some reps at SS down below. No mention of Raf Man moving to SS.

    NO One has said the Red Sox don’t have bigger needs than SS depth, but now lack of SS depth has reared its ugly head again. Maybe they could bring Kike back.

    Wow! f***ton of holes. Did you expect Story Land to be open for 140 games this year. If you did that’s pretty bad planning. I’m not disagreeing with Bell that Breslow can figure this out better than Bloom now, but I still think a cheap good defensive SS should already be around. Agree, or not it’s not a f***ton of a big deal.🙈🤭🤮

    But still no good backup defensive SS. If RAF Man gets moved to SS then so be it, but you don’t have a lot of good backup depth in the OF.

    I agree, but to me you should always have a good backup defensive SS around somewhere especially with Story being your #1 guy.

    The fact that there isn’t one now is not a good sign.

    And the BIG question would be with Story’s history of getting hurt why not?

    8yr/$50M from what I read on the RAF Man.

    That may be, but then who are you taking out of the OF. Then who are you going to replace Raffy at 3B with no spending allowance from JH. I haven’t seen anything from Raffy either that would lead me to think Raffy would be a plus defender at 1B like one poster keeps calling for on here. Once again the Red Sox are just player the cards they dealt themselves, such doesn’t lead to a good defensive team.

    Wow! Way to go way out on a limb. Obviously the Sox didn’t learn anything from last year, and have a good backup SS ready to go in case the often injured Story Land is down for repairs again, which he now is. You know a good backup utility IF whose main position is SS. Reyes, and Bobby D are cheap backup replacements in the IF, so you got what you paid for.

    I think Cora is concerned about D, but like I’ve said many times you have to play the cards you are dealt, and those cards at the moment are Devers at 3B, Casas at 1B, and GOshida/Noshida as DH, and I don’t see any of them moving any time soon.

    Grady won 93, and 95 games for the Red Sox, and then Tito took over in 2004.

    The Cora thing has been beaten to death many times. I know most on here like him. I know 700 does not. I’ve stated before that I would have never hired Cora back, but I like Cora, and think he is a good manager, but they can win with him when they have a GREAT team, which they did, and they can lose with him when they have a bad team, which they have done. My point about Farrell was he won in his first year like Cora did with less talent.

    Reggie Smith was a good CF with a cannon for an arm.Rick Miller was a good defensive CF also.

    Sea Dogs have PP today’s, and tomorrow’s game. Definitely not BB weather here in Maine.
