  1. Well said, and agree 100%.
  2. I’ve enjoyed, and had more fun watching the Dodgers-SD, and NY-KC series this postseason than at anytime watching the Red Sox all year. Postseason trumps regular season anytime. Of course it would be more enjoyable if the Red Sox were in it.
  3. Don’t make it sound like you’ve been a Red Sox fan all your life, because you haven’t, and haven’t had the same experiences of the ones who have been, and for a longer time. How you remember him is different than how I remember him. You can keep looking out the same window all you want, but that window has a lot of cracks in it.
  4. JH may have spent more money than other Sox owners in the past, but the game, and money involved has changed drastically through the years with payrolls going up, and up, and up. JH has been a good owner for the most part, but the JH of the 2000’s until the 2018 Season I believe is long gone, and may never appear again. 4 WS were won in that time, and he gets some credit for that. The Red Sox came close in years before, but I don’t think if JH had been the owner it wouldn’t have helped beat Bob Gibson in 67, or the Big Red Machine in 75, or Billy Buck wouldn’t have let the ball between his legs against the Mets. JH served his purpose, and to me it’s time to move on. And yes Moon I’m careful what I’m wishIng for.
  5. I can still hear the chants as he walked in from the BP. Lue E, Lue E! Lue E.
  6. Agree, and like I said the other day that we as fans may never know the whole story, and only know that Mookie is gone. What was Mookie offered, and did Mookie really want to stay in Boston.
  7. Bloom was hired in October, so waiting to Feb says something. What I don’t know, but there was reports out there that Bloom wasn’t told he had to trade Betts. Knowing Bloom’s track record now maybe this was where Bloom looking for that third option in the fork in the road all started.
  8. Just throwing something wild out there.
  9. Never Devers, or Devers Forever? How about this one?
  10. Interest yes, but all have different degrees of what they will bring back by themselves, or packaged.
  11. You have to give up something supposedly good to get something supposedly good back, and it’s a lot cheaper then going out, and signing high priced FA, which would be more to the liking of JH IMO. Masa, Abreu, and some of the utility guys are not going to cut it.
  12. Did Bloom, and his minions see something that Masa hasn’t shown yet that the Red Sox wanted him so bad they not only outbid everyone, but shut the bidding down in record time?
  13. If they didn’t have the budget how did they sign Story for more money?🙈🤭
  14. Money is always the real question, but if they had signed Flintstone they probably wouldn’t have signed Story Land.
  15. Gio/Sale/Grissom I believe was all one deal. It all turned out bad for 2024, and it couldn’t have turned out much worse if Brez would have planned it that way.
  16. NO super good teams this year, so it should be a wild, and good playoffs.
  17. The BP needs to be shored up, and even more now losing Martin, and Jansen, and as I’ve said before it’s a risky proposition doing it in-house. I hope Whit goes, and stays in the BP, but I have no idea what the brain trust has in store again.
  18. Once again I see pretty much 0% chance the Red Sox would trade for Sonny Gray, or Any Other pitcher with a contract like that just like I pretty much see a 0% chance the Red Sox are in the market for a 3B especially an older one like Arenado with, or without that contract. I won’t even mention that I doubt the Red Sox have Mayer on the market either.🙈🤭
  19. As skeptical as I am of Red Sox management I believe there is 0% chance the Red Sox don’t add to the pitching staff. The Red Sox haven’t announced their plans for Whit either, and it wouldn’t surprise me either way the Red Sox end up going with him.
  20. He might not have the same value now that he’s on the other side, and most likely he would still want more.
  21. I’ll believe Red Sox management when they do what they say, and not what they say, and not until then. The Red Sox met with the Yam Man last year. How many of the big spenders who also met with the Yam Man do you think they were going to out spend. What Red Sox management calls aggressive might not be what the fans call aggressive. Caution, and beware when the Red Sox are there.
  22. I don’t believe the Red Sox would trade for Gausman let alone do an extension.
