    So far Sale is pitching like a CY candidate, and Grissom has been playing when he has played like a suspect, and not a prospect. I’ve already said in the beginning I didn’t know Boston had to kick in $17M, and have been highly critical of that fact ever since. Irrelevant criticism from a NN? That’s irrelevant in itself.

    When the Yankees left Boston on June 16 they had a 11 game lead over Boston in the loss column. Now 3 weeks leader that 11 game lead is down to 4. Big bounce back from the Houckster tonight to keep the Yankees reeling, and to do it at the Stadium would make it all the better. Full Throttle, or sham, sham, sham? Who will turn out to be right?

    Lester was, and still is a JH puzzler. He didn’t want to pay Lester, but then went out, and paid twice the price for Price.

    From all the chatter that I’ve been reading, and hearing on the Sale matter MOST people have opinionated that JH was real generous to the Braves, which I questioned when the trade happened. Paying the Braves $17M for Sale to pitch for them is pretty easy what to call it for MOST. Also there has been a lot more people on here, and there calling out JH for being cheap.🙈🤭

    Cora asked why stop at just getting the 3rd wildcard spot, which the Red Sox now occupies. They are now 1 game back of that second wildcard spot, and only 4 games back of that 1st wildcard spot both in the loss column. There is only one way to go now, and that’s Full Throttle ahead.

    The Yankees are 2-8 in their last ten games, and if they look in their rearview mirror the Red Sox are getting a lot closer with 4 games out in the loss column. Could be an interesting series coming up, and also the rest of July. No it’s not a sham, sham, sham like I heard it called all offseason. Buyers vs sellers, and the future is now. Anyone still think the Red Sox should be selling off some expiring contracts?

    Moving Sale’s contract? Still paying $17M out of $27M is not moving a contract to me. A piece as valuable to Grissom? Grissom had a chance to win a job in Atlanta, but couldn’t do it, but obviously the Braves got someone to take him, and get Sale in return, and have the Red Sox kick in $17M to boot to pay more than half of Sales contract. Pretty generous of JH.

    Bello is the one pitcher the Red Sox have scored tons of runs for when he pitches. 22 ER in about the same amount of innings in June.

    After a slow start Raf Man is looking better, and better, but I still far from sold on BIG Baby Bello.

    JH has got to be seething. He’s still paying Sale 17M to pitch like this. He’s still paying Gio even more money to not pitch at all, and Grissom has been pretty much a NO show on, and off the field.

    Wildcard standings the Red Sox are there. 1 game up in the loss colum. Buy, buy, and buy again. It doesn’t have to be a rental either. Like Cora just recently said that this team can be made better. Let’s see what Brez is made of.

    Just stating the facts, and stats that Miami is next to last in all of baseball in runs scored for the year. If you want to give BIG Baby Bello an atta boy for tonight go ahead. Nothing wrong with that.

    Let’s not get too excited about Bello tonight. The Marlins are 29th out of 30 teams in scoring runs, so BIG Baby Bello isn’t facing any murders row.🤫

    Monty, and his 6+ ERA is currently on the IL with a knee problem. I’m sure there was offers out there that he had wished he’d taken now. Him, and Snell.

    I’m sure Houck will be monitored the rest of the season, and has a BIG bounce back Friday against the Yankees.
