    Beni did get a hit tonight, not a slump buster but came at a good time. But that sure looks like one tired young man who will enjoy the day off tomorrow , especially with a morning game scheduled.

    Cuevas needs to talk to his BP mates. He only used 13 pitches to get 3 outs from a corpse like Nationals team. That cut his TV exposure by 50% compared to some of the 20-30 pitch relief jobs recently featured.

    Amazing to watch a natural talent like Harper really struggling. Definitely brings more empathy for some of our guys when things don't go so smoothly. One of the best is not having great success either. He does have 21 HR's and 50 rbi's so don't feel too bad for the fool. OB and Remy nailed it when they said he will sign for one reason only, the absolute max dollars offered. He has been a horses's ass since high school in Las Vegas.

    Certainly have , he should buy a Lotto ticket tonight. Oh, and he pulls Johnson with the pitcher's position hitting in the 6th. Could have dealt with that by running for him in the 4th, just to piss off some here. Cora is a pimp, just like Tataglia.

    But I'm not the one who pulls the guy with 2 outs in the 5th to f*** up his win after the guy ran the bases for you. If you didn't know after the 4th that Johnson was beginning to run low on fuel, then you would be Cora.

    Speaking of the HR Derby, I assume JDM will be asked to do it, but if I were him, no way. Seen a few guys swings ruined by that farce when the second half got under way. I do recoomend Stanton and Judge wear themselves out

    Johnson , good for 3 but not 4 gives up back to back hits to #8 and the pitcher.

    Mitch hurt himself flagging down Devers off target throw and twisting back fast to tag the base. Devers then watches 2 good pitches go past him with 2 on and no outs. Free swinger, no way. But he's young and it is early

    Johnson gets a 3 inning shutout so far, on 43 pitches. Wonder if Joe Kelly, Matt Barnes, David Price, Erod are tuned into NESN so they can see how a guy with limited talent and basic a junkball repertoire gets it done. Granted he is up against a .500 team that is declining but all the Nationals still belong to the MLBPA. I bet Pomeranz's 4 HR's allowed for Pawsox last night got DD excited.

    Top 3 guys in the lineup tonight choosing not to participate. Johnson needs three good innings to get a win qualification.

    Oh, the Nunez haters who want Holt, like myself. Actually I credit Nunez with doing what he can with limited talent left in his body. No real complaint but would still start Holt day to day with Nunez off the bench. But then I don't get Cora money for having opinions
