  1. 6 innings on 68 pitches. Too good to be true on an every 5 day basis given his history but maybe a complete game would give the BP a needed day off, especially Kimbrel. But 3-0 isn't a guarantee with 9 outs to go in Fenway
  2. Hope Mookie steals second on another dirtball from Berrios who thinks he is funny. Nice game , asswipe
  3. The HP ump is definitely looking for a fight. Not far enough ahead to give in to him with a very short bench. Leon is tired buys and girls
  4. Eovaldi gets through 5 on 59 pitches ??? If only Chris Sale could do that
  5. Grows on a Bay Tree, you know like Bay State ??
  6. Bigger than a twig , smaller than a branch
  7. Berrios is toast if Swihart knocks him
  8. Berrios has little chance of going beyond 5
  9. Love to go to your next high school reunion just to see your dress. Only fooling around on another winning day so far
  10. Berrios is getting away with a lot but with pitches at 64 through 3 innings, he could be done after 5 setting up the bullpen barrage on the Twins Maybe two innings of grinding AB's and a couple more runs
  11. For all the discussion, did swihart simply need the necessary reps to get his timing and Fenway swing put together. Glad they stuck with him. A guy who can catch and play the IF, possibly OF in an emergency will be on the 25 man playoff roster
  12. This. It was one of the very best ever as he flew and still tracked the ball into the glove
  13. JBJr begs the discussion on what's more valuable ; a double saving full layout catch in CF, or a single with bases loaded when at bat ?
  14. Pretty good due to JBJ's catch . And only 41 pitches through 3, gets him in range for maybe 7 innings.
  15. Eovaldi says, heckuva CF'er here in Boston
  16. Hits the low strike for a big double. That guy is all he is touted to be
  17. JDM may not see a pitch above his toes
  18. No day off tomorrow either
  19. Cora didn't check with me, but running Leon out there for a day game after a night game is puching Sandy towards burnout. He's slow enough already.
  20. Eovaldi bring it at 97mph with some movement.
  21. You certainly saw a good example against a herd thrower. Up and in or down and in, but always IN
  22. Who held Benintendi at third on Polanco's error ? That ball bounced well out into the grass and Beni was already running because of the force out possibility.
  23. At 73-33, the Sox are still the only team with 70+ wins. In the NL , no one has more than 60. For all that, the Sox are still 8 short of a guaranteed .500 season. But it's still July, so it's early (Joke)
  24. probably doesn't work with Sandy Leon being your only catcher for the next 10 days. Back to the Holt/Nunez tandem in the infield with Lin returning I'm guessing.
  25. You might be very correct. His concentration and catching are weakening. Like your esteemed answer at 2nd, Mr. Nunez, there was little anticipation as to how many games these backups would play. The good news is that they contribute to the wins .
