How about a 4 day rainout, with a marathon quadruple header on Monday (off day) to see once and for all if baseball is a sprint or a marathon ? Let's see who has the will to win. Teams allowed to dress out the entire 40 man roster. It would be epic. Oh, and no umpires. Batters call their pitches and fielder's call their outs, all subject to 24 replay opportunities by eacj manager.

The Red Sox hitters tendency to be umpires while they are hitting. Down by 5 maybe go up there just hacking like Devers and Chavis do. Who knows you may hit something. JDM is way off base in recent weeks.

We only thought last night's loss was the worst all year. This one is worse. Mainly because it showed last night's BP blow was not a fluke. The pitchers did not respond with an exceptional effort. Yet it is still winnable with a Slam followed by two more back to backs. Not asking much.

The right answer is that there isn't much to deal with, if DD wants to keep the young, cost controlled guys now up on the 40 man roster. Castillo would be a candidate but nobody will want to pay his contract salary. If they are truly buried at the trade deadline then some of the marginal guys could be offered but haven't got a lot of value to fill a real hole

Scored 9 so far and only 5 down . I recall back after 4, the comments were made that Cora needed to figure out how to hold this one and salvage it. Is he actually managing tomorrow's game, knowing Sale can't go more than about 6 typically ? Did he punt on this one. If you can't win with 9 runs, try a new line of work. Please do not lose 14-13.

Praising Weber for exceeding his abilities is to Ryan's credit. Fans appreciate a boy scout who helps the team. Expecting him to be a regular starter and highly effective is DD/Cora's fault, not the fans. He was always a filler, not a building block
