I can, I did , last time in 1986 in a league in TX that allowed a couple former MiLB players on a roster. Won the state championship in the Pepsi Games in San Antonio. Last time to warm a guy up was a pitcher from Univ of Michigan, not wearing any mask. He fliped the glove for a curveball, threw a 90mph FB past my head, and I walked away, never played with the idiot again.

IMO, #6 or 7 in the lineup. Plays LF in Fenway due to his short arm throwing. Modest power , especially second half 2018. Can run well, if he gets on. He is cheap salary wise for a couple more years. Don't think he is a "special ' player. May improve as time goes , but what is he waiting for.

Now here is some humor. Thursday's game is at 12:37 EDT. Cora has worked his primary BP guys and this game is not over yet. Tomorrow's RS starter : Ryan Weber. It's a BP/opener type game.

That's a good , new thought. All the discussion is about moving JBJr, but this season needs to figure out Benintendi's role on this team going forward. You would have to listen with an open mind.

I think there was probably a belief that the hitting would carry them well enough to the trade deadline point where they could make moves if needed. The hitters aren't doing it consistently.

Note Cora saving money on Barnes next year arb hearing by pitching him without a save opportunity in the 8th. Try Thornburg for the save since he won't be looking for a raise.

I know there is a lot of talk about giving relievers, especially those with control issues, clean innings to pitch. Under tonight's circumstances and Rick's pitch count , it may have made more sense to run him out to start the 7th and pull upon getting a baserunner , if any. Now the BP still needs to get 6 more outs, with a slim cushion, thanks for Rafi's blast.

I don't care what Workman's record and stats are. This is a horseshit performance by a choking pitcher whose ass is eating his shorts. 28 pitches to get 3 outs and make it a one run game. Nice work, don't choke on the postgame meal

Always amazed at 2 out hitting. Workman gets 2 outs and a 1-2 count on Galvis with just 9 pitches. Now 2nd and 3rd after another 2 strike count, still 2 out. Workman turns it into a pressure situation. Now a 4 pitch walk to load the bases. When a reliever gets up to 20 or more pitches, really bad things happen.
