Kind of tough to say but if Pedey is watching Holt, his knee is probably aching. Holt has done this before for a stretch and then gone IL with an unpredictable injury
2 of 3 from the winningest team in the AL on their field, and having every chance to sweep them . That should be a good clue towards the next 6 games, although Boston has not gone nuts on other teams at Fenway
A;ways one of my points. A Starter on a 20 pitch pace is good for about 5 innings, helping no one. It may not matter but Barnes rarely is efficient, same for Workman. Limits them to one inning and may not be ready the next day.
If you wonder why Matt barnes draws some SMH's, it may have to do with walking guys with a 9-4 lead, using up his arm pointlessly when he can't throw a FB strike. You can love him, but not like his pitching.
Fairly amazing comeback within the game. Erod always tantalizes with what if, but has trouble getting it going. Tonight he came around nicely, and got big support.
Very true. And I do believe he thinks he had a pass for 2019 for winning the WS and the team budget was pretty much capped anyway. I'm sure he thought he had a 100 wins virtually guaranteed.
Perhaps for Pawtucket. he really is not worth investing a lot more time in his development. I think he is probably weak minded and undereducated. Plus people don't like him.
Erod is truly special. The true #5 in any rotation, he gets leads and promptly equalizes the situation, on a night when he knows his BP is dead meat and he needs to get 7+ innings. Just no improvement nor development over the past couple years
I do think Alex needs to shake the lineup further. Leave Betts at leadoff. Move Beni to 6 or 7, promote Devers to #2, and put Martinez at #5 until he gets his stroke back. Try Bogaerts at #3. I think they would score more runs.
