  1. Lead off double and nothing much happening . Chavis, Pearce and Bradley can't move the parade, after Brockstar got JD to 3rd.
  2. That looks like real fugly weather for baseball. Get a lead and call it early.
  3. Excellent "catch" on remembering Jackie Smith. A man went his entire HS, College, Pro career for that one memorable moment and then completely failed to execute his reason for being on the team. It led Donnie Moore to an untimely end.
  4. Quiet ! You will wake up the Bruins who are sleepwalking through about half the opener. Chara reminds me why it is the rare athlete who can play much beyond 40. Anxious to see Tom Brady this fall keep his excellence going. The good news is that the Bruins did wake up, due to Thunder's noise, and scored a couple goals in the second period to tie it up. Meaning the 3rd period will be all out skating and shooting.
  5. I think the fail is using Pops as a lead off hitter. He needs to be a #6 or #7 guy, given his production. Other than Betts there is not a true leadoff hitter with a good OBP and power.
  6. Love to see another Rask shutout. Interesting to see what the 10 days off does in the first period. Who will start hitting to gain some dominance, probably the Blues at first.
  7. Better than Capt. Oblivious, such as a fan of Pops
  8. JD's back is back. Big things to come from that. JD was lonely without his bro Brock Holt around. Now he's happy
  9. Is Ryan Brasier back on track? Not exactly high leverage today, but no mistakes, walks or drama either.
  10. JBJr is en fuego.. Very nice. Call me when he reaches the Mendoza line.. Horsehide on sheetmetal is the sound of success
  11. Just like Pops is the only hitless wonder
  12. Jeez, Hembree is exciting when facing .093 batters
  13. Maybe time to give Porcello a rest before we get a Porcello
  14. Regrettably , this is happening too much this month. If they came around to normal, we'd be the Beast in the East again. We are starting to get more and more from the bottom 3 of the lineup, which makes a huge difference
  15. JBJr must love the sound of horsehide banging off tin. Just keep hitting to the left side when in Fenway.
  16. Tito's world is heading south, like the midnight greyhound to Pawtucket. Guardians suffering the IL pitching rotation blues Eckersly points out Guardians didn't pursue anything significant in the off season and lost Brantley. Must be a luxury tax deal from weak ownership.
  17. looks like he caught it just right for another double
  18. Yes, having some fun. Your original premise was likely correct.
  19. Rafi, the new JDM. Love to see him go All-Star.
  20. He caught the ball at first with no problem. In the right place at the right time is everything.
  21. looks like Holt is ready to play at a good level. 5 innings may be a SSS but glad he's back.
  22. Mookie's great catch finally gets some emotion from Rick P. About time he acted like he was alive.
  23. Did he change #'s ?? Only the production numbers it seems. Cannot figure out why he is slumping, assuming it's not the back.
  24. Boston Pops may actually exceed a few others as the most clueless batter on this team. There is no clutch. Pops is a hydramatic
