  1. Likely due to the third LH pitcher this series keeping the LH batters off the field since they do struggle.
  2. Verdugo stealing third with 2 outs and the potential tying run batting tells you all you need to know about this mustard man. It's great to have enthusiasm and energy but lugging around his gold chain 99 along with his gold plated sliding mitt makes him basically a jerk.
  3. Jad, i sometimes wonder if the Red Sox coaches (not just this year) see the same games and plays we do. There are several on these forums that make observations that seem pretty obvious about certain players, but you see the same mistake over and over.
  4. That was a shot to Bogie, but instead of a high pitch voice, he made a high pitched throw to the midget at 1B
  5. I know Chavis is still young and this season's results don't matter much, but does anyone see progress in that guy's hitting ? I don't see him making a move towards consistency in pitch to hit selection
  6. Can you fit a pig in a pinata. ? I feel a little for Roeneicke for being stuck with these duds, and if you go back to March 1, Bloom thought he had Sale (wihful thinking) and Erod plus Perez and Eovaldi. All he needed was one of his cast-offs to get lucky and he would be ok, not good but ok. Sale was in denial since the 2018 WS final out. Erod caught the disease and then had complications. Bloom failed to get lucky with any cast-off pickup. Sometimes you get lucky, often you don't.
  7. If the Yankees score 1 run in every inning and the Sox score 1 every three innings, what will be the final score ?
  8. If you turn your body upside down and look at the standings, things get much better quickly
  9. $20 mill for 2 years, you got it Mattie. I think the real frustration is listening to the "analysts" who really thought he was worthwhile. I've seen a lot of baseball, as most here have, and you can tell a winner from a loser after a reasonable number of observations. I hope I'm not accurate but I put Benintendi in the category of a prospective failure . Chavis is next.
  10. To all the believers in Santa Claus and the fairies, go ahead and trade Matthew Barnes to the high bidder. You must really want that tub of Dubble Bubble. I have bitched about this pork meat ball for 2 seasons only to be shown the brilliant stats and "advanced analytics" determinimg Barnes's greatness. The guy was , is and will be a gutless horseshit thrower of the first degree. I only have my eyeball test to determine that but if it stinks it's horseshit or probably pigshit and Barnes is it
  11. Post # 118 said it all. Want to know tomorrow's outcome tonight? Just ask
  12. Of course, JDM couldn't barrel up and get it out to right center. No Red Sox will take the cheap way out to right field. The ultimate insult is Brett "Head" Gardner getting his second double.
  13. I can shots on this team and never be wrong if i go the negative direction
  14. You could smell this excitement coming in the 6th
  15. Bot6tom of the 6th will be the inning where the winner of this game is determined. if Eovaldi gets them out only down 4-3 the Sox will lose.. If it goes beyond 4-3, then the Sox will lose. Never give up there is always the chance of an earthquake.
  16. Sure would hate to lose this game 4-3. Somehow have the feeling that it won't end that close.
  17. That was excellent !. I only hope Rask and/or his family actually have a situation worth his bailing out. He wasn't all that great in the round robin. But i5rt leaves the B's with no real backup, except a guy that has never played in the league
  18. Eovaldi is a special case of pitching with two outs. Workman was a real treat last night too
  19. IT is not too early, Moon. Lot of movement needed from the manager, coaches, through about 40 guys on the real roster.
  20. Splendid, enjoy the rest of the game, I need to go meet up with some friends . Best wishes for a favorable outcome my friend
  21. Wow, Brice held that inning and got stronger. Lots of movement on his fastball. Nice job this time.
  22. here's the problem with Sox relievers, brice comes in and closes the 3rd nicely, but now with on;ly one out in the 4th, he is at 24 pitches. relievers start sinking heavily at 20 pitches
  23. His mother has one of those double last names Arauz-Zuara
  24. Is or will Verdugo be a steady regular for 4-5 years or a teaser like Chavis who will never be consistent
