  1. To be fair, Lin just made a nice play at SS to start a DP ata critical moment as Barnes arm was about to fall off.
  2. Very much agreed on the extremely low probability but, still, you're saying there's a chance.
  3. You say that, although there is still an alternate universe mathematical probability , however small, that the Sox could win 40 games this year . But they must DFA Lin in order for those chances to align properly. Now I get to watch my other alternate universe guy, Matthew Barnes. Just having fun in a deadly bad season for Boston
  4. No worries, If Beni was playing it would be on him, possibly Chavis too. The real issue for me is that while errors of all sorts, physical and mental, will occur, all of these guys are paid professionals who need to bring their best game as often as possible. For marginal backups like Lin , either you show some advancement over a few years time or you need to be moved on. I cannot see much improvement in Lin. The only reason professionals should be playing the game is to win and Lin is not likely to be making those type contributions today, tomorrow or next year.
  5. Let's keep it simple---f*** 2 way Lin
  6. A rain shortened win and early departure to Baltimore? You can only hope it stays a winner
  7. He needs to roll to keep his position as a role player
  8. JBJr comes through with a sac fly at a good time. Hope he gets a nice contract after this short year but think it will be tough for him.
  9. finally, a Red Sox bloop single to advance the inning. Now avoid the DP, JBJr. Don't roll over on the outside pitch
  10. Thank goodness you noticed that too. A nice person, I'm sure, but not a serious ballplayer.
  11. Once Hart got to that 30th pitch level, he becomes unhittable, with 3 straight K's. This is nucking futs baseball
  12. But he did learn the the Jon Lester chew the glove, left hander prepitch positioning. Warm up ? Long a RedSox pitching tendency--- to not be ready for the first inning
  13. If we thought that falling behind quickly was the problem, last night's game disabused that notion. I can only imagine the attitude of a fielder having to pay attention through 30 pitches behind a thrower who cannot get someone out.
  14. Great throw by JBJr to bail out Hart. No, the tag by Vaz was late despite the ball beating the runner by 5'. It just doesn't matter, if one guy makes an attempt at a winning play, another guy will f*** it up. Vaz has no excuse on that one
  15. Hart gets stung by a jam shot bleeder of a soft hit, but Hart , at 27, should seriously consider a different line of work.
  16. Kyle Hart, a fine young 27 year old, who does not have a future in MLB pitching or otherwise.
  17. Has everyone seen the new 30 for 30 on ESPN/ It continues the story about the RedSox next 21 consecutive losses.
  18. Great stat, but says a lot about the guys in front of him reaching base and advancing ( Beni, Devers, JDM among others)
  19. The windmaill known as Chavis whiffs 5 times in one game. Doesn't prove anything about his future, just tells you he sucks in the present.
  20. Brasier hasn't f***ed up yet tonight, but he still has an out to get, so don't blink
  21. 5 relievers give up 4 HR's and 12 runs.. Some of these losses have been slow drip leaks but this one is in a class of its own. How can everyone of those throwers suck so badly in the same game. Roenicke is getting stuck with this crap, I feel for him because he has tried them all and not one could do his job.
  22. Meanwhile, the human windmill, Michael Chavis, K's 3 more times. I only pick on this guy because so many people like him. It must be the wind energy he generates
  23. The look on Roenicke's face is priceless as Harper rounds the bases after taking Hembree out on a 2 out 2 strike 3 run blast to deep right The 8 run threshhold is achieved.
  24. Once again the bullpen cumulatively gives up the tying runs in just 2 innings. And Hembree fails by giving up a hit to score taylor's last guy , gives up a stolen base and then a 2 out walk. And I thought Heathbar was the one bright spot out there.
  25. WTF was Pillar looking for on strikes 2 & 3?
