It would not be too shocking if Mead and IKF are kept in IL mode for the rest of the year . If IKF and Mayer ( SF GIANTS problem now) had similar stress reactions in forearm, the healing may be well advanced and rehab is turning into playing. . Do you bring IKF back and thereby drop Siegler ?

Marinara or not the numbers don't change until September (26 to 28) . You have 4 bench positions plus DH. Wong has the catcher, 1 IF'er Monasterio ( Story @ SS yuck!) or Sogard ; 1 OF'er Duran ( if Anthony plays the field vs DH) ; 1 mixed use ( choose from Siegler, Gasper, ) Sorry White, Jones, Eaton, K Campbell ---No room on the bus this trip. Then there is Romy Gonzalez. When it goes to 28 , Brez will probably consider 1 pitcher and 1 utility guy from the above But wait, you have IKF and possibly Mead returning in September (or not). If you don't play them in September for a couple weeks then they are not likely candidates for playoff rosters. Brez could play hardball and not add a pitcher in September , going with a deeper bench , but that assumes the current BP guys remain effective and not arm weary
