    I assume that the position for the RH hitter is DH or dependent on who moves for said slugger. Don't you know CB is pushing very hard to get Masa in the deal up to the point if absorbing a big chunk of contract

    The contract prevents the Sox from giving up on KC, not that they should give up on a young player. Reminds me of the Rusney Castillo case

    Key words "higher hopes" vs higher ceiling. Not touting Meidrith, but Campbell and Mayer should be showing showing some incremental progress in their hitting, however slight to be considered good assets.     Wong sort of holding his own, low bar , at the plate, but Narvaez is lost. No one can say that Mayer isn't getting a full shot at showing his (in)abilities hitting. The defense is useful but like LF, the Sox have usually had competent hitters at SS , and 3B for that matter.

    What I like is how our IL journeys keep opening up opportunities for young players to experience MLB. Someday one of these studs will be a breakthrough player and pound out hits like Mickey Gasper.

    One big problem for the Sox is that there is no open bench space for the guys to sit down. Too many drink chests, gear, towels, bubblegum tubs and frankly junk cluttering the resting space

    Weissert may be confused...no runners on base. This game has the feeling of one of those soft losses where the Sox get beat by a run or two, no big beat down

    How about when they are tied in the 2nd ? It was probably too much to expect Early to be a dominant pitcher this year. Sox got a steal that he is on the mound every 5th day

    What's interesting in this story is that Crochet skipped the WBC ostensibly to protect his arm for the long season. Did he know something wasn't quite right in ST? We wouldn't tell that from the Opening Day win but Garrett went down the slippery slope soon after. How long can you ride shoulder inflammation before you better be looking deeper?
