    I need to do some research, but I seriously wonder if Chaim ever played a team sport and won at any level. Has no clue as to building a team. Basically thinks of the players as Legos with certain tendencies and statistical outcomes. Almost an AI approach to physical and mental games. Chaim looks more like a country club golfer or tennis player.

    EO does all he can tonight. Now pull him and make a deal before it blows up. Please realize that if it made sense everyone of the trade baits, including Vaz , could be re-signed during the hot stove league. let the matket dictate their worth.

    As a fan, I do think that Vazquez, Eovaldi, and Martinez contributed to a championship in '18 and have been positive factors on the team. But , if the Sox can get young players with real potential , it's time to fold'em. I said back to June that you could see this wasn't a championship level team. Then they played the AL East.

    If Buster Olney is correct, the clubhouse is getting restless with no clue as to Bloom's plan for this team. Lose the clubhouse, lose the manager, lose your job. It will get clearer after 6PM tomorrow when EO and Martinez's position clarifies. The vets do not want to hear from their management that they are not contenders. In that case, players, try winning a few games in a row.

    I'll go 90% agree with the caveat that most of the over 30 players do have "expiration dates" , and declining overall productivity. If you can move one 30+ specialty player each year, like a sole DH, and reload 1 or 2 AA/AAA prospects with upside, then that's part of the business. A competitive , winning team every year. A very good goal. It does not have to be done on the cheap though.

    I think the play was that it had not occurred in a 31 day month, especially one with an A-S game. With our shutdown pen on the job, this one is over. What's your prognosis on Story now ? Will the wrist heal simply with time ?

    Surprising but very welcome outbreak of the hitters . A rare scene in July, combined with effective pitching by Winckowski against a good hitting team. Chaim, don't you dare break up this beast, it is just waking up.
