  1. Sox with their patented 2 out, 9th inning rally. Story hits when it doesn't matter
  2. This whole deal is unprofessional at every level , embarassing and inexplicable. Barraclough probably will be DFA'ed, or just sent back to Worcester since his arm is now useless.
  3. 8 hits, 4 walks and 3 HBP's in 2.2 innings , but at least Altuve was able to get the cycle off this turd machine. Who immediately gives up another hit.
  4. Exactly. The up/down home 7th tells you the hitters are uninvolved at this point. When he got the final out of Sale's 5th inning, that should have been it for Barraclough.
  5. I think Max has outlined it, with the key point being that starters , perhaps other than Bello's last have not controlled enough innings, including Sale and his damnable stress reaction.
  6. Hit Bregman 2x in 2 innings ? You might be inviting some immature retaliation. Devers should take the rest of the night off.
  7. Also relates to my comments in other forum about whether there is any sense of team in Boston with the revolving door, and disjointed management upstairs and on the field. Total guess but there may be some deep discord around this bunch
  8. Yes. But why would he want the grief ? I am actually surprised Jason is as dedictaed to coaching and continuing in baseball as he is. You never know the real motivations.
  9. Tell me that Cora leaving Barraclough out there to die is not a comment from the dugout to the Owner's suite.
  10. Truly ridiculous to give this game up and get a little more buried. It starts with Sale being marginal and bringing in the star of the WooSox bullpen to hold the fort . The mismanagement of this team from FO on down is beyond words
  11. Going to the playoffs with the Dodgers who made him an effective reliever.
  12. Get this f***ing horseshit Barraclough out of there right now. WTF is this team about ??
  13. The Sox will pay a price for trying to steal an inning with Barraclough
  14. Dealing with Duvall this off season, as with Verdugo ( arb$$ or trade), and Story ( IMO), and now I throw Sale into the mix , will be interesting to follow. The easy out is to go to arb with Dugo, do nothing with Sale and Story, and make Duvall a lowball offer.
  15. An umpire with a poor sense of the strike zone and gross inconsistency forces batters to chase pitches, especially after 2 strikes. The idiots influence the game outcome well beyond their already significant roles
  16. At least Sale can't be the loser now . On the other hand...
  17. Thank you Adam Duvall. How he got under that pitch is unknown
  18. This f'ing umpire truly is a loser
  19. If Bloom could move Chris Sale to the NL over the winter, I wouldn't even worry about getting too much for him. Maybe a 2bman who can hit . Dump the salary and dump the player. He did not pitch well in an important game.
  20. Takes a great DEFENSIVE play to salvage Sale's mess
  21. Sale is a 5 inning (or less) pitcher who loses his cool and all the wheels fall off. His mess falls to Barraclough to clean up. Good luck with the guy just back from Worcester. I'm glad the busses run in the morning in Mass.
  22. Defense does have its merits. Too bad defenders have to hit as well. If they would mimic football and have one squad for defense and one for offense, MLB could employ many more players Sale could have helped himself.
  23. There is nothing more useless than warning track power unless a man is on 3rd with less than 2 outs. Urias has had some flashes but needed one more
  24. If most of the Sox had the strike zone awareness of Casas , it would be a significant improvement across the lineup. Early in the year the umpire s were screwing with the rookie, and Tristan was reluctant to swing away. He has overcome that pretty well. But if he just could.....
