  1. In the case of Boone is well deserved Cora has been doing an amazing job
  2. As much as I dislike Verlander, I hope he does great tonight, go Astros!!!!
  3. I hear you, but the love for Cora will last until the hard time comes, a lot of people will turn their backs on him. I don't think you will be part of that crew, but a lot of people in this forum will do that
  4. It's hard to fire a manager who "won" 100 games in a season, By the way, I like Gardenhire, maybe a guy like him with a bench coach who is big on data
  5. I can see Machado if they trade Andujar for Thor or MadBum. For the record, I don't want to trade Andujar, he has a special bat, but those two can take us over the top for a few years
  6. The tigers wanted a premium to trade him to the yankees
  7. Agree, even with Judge out for almost two months the team had enough talent to win 100 games. I hope Cashman address the real weakness (SP) of this team, adding some depth especially in the IF, some regression need to be expected from the rookies (sophomore slump), the league will keep making adjustments on them.
  8. I partially agree with you, his shortcomings are more on the people who hired him with no coaching experience, he's not like Carlos Beltran, he was out of the game for some years, they put him in an impossible situation The reason the team won 100 games is more related to the current talent on the team than his skills as a manager. He's a smart guy, he will be better next year but I hate how he messed up some key decisions in the playoffs
  9. I think he will be back, his clubhouse presence has some value; he will be in an incentive based contract.
  10. unfortunately, I think you are right. Cashman is a stubborn SOB. I can't believe how some Sox "fans" complain about Cora, I'd change managers in a heartbeat
  11. I hope he gets fired
  12. We need to start scoring some runs, at least a couple this inning
  13. Boone needs to pull Severino, it's not his day
  14. it looks like Sevvy is not that sharp tonight, let's hope Boone is ready if they start hitting him
  15. also a prima donna, don't be surprised if he trays to steal the show
  16. He's probably the worst umpire in the league, don't know what he's doing in the playoffs
  17. I don't think he's "panicking", he sees an issue and is moving things around trying to fix his batting issues. Boston lineup between the 5-9 positions was terrible the first two games he needs to do something.
  18. Unfortunately, it looks like they will Not many holes in that roster
  19. Agree with you the best for the Yanks is to end it in NY, but Sale needs to go at least 6 or 7 for you guys, if not your BP will be under a lot of pressure, even in Boston
  20. In the other hand, if the Yanks win today the pressure will be all in the Sox side.
  21. Very good point, it matters only against each other
  22. I believe the Yankees had a chance to pick between him and Stanton
  23. Houston is probably the strongest team of the remaining 8
  24. I know he was suspended, which substance did they find in his tests?
  25. They can't waste those opportunities
