Crazy indeed to see a guy hitting third all season released, esp when all we heard is that the chief reason for this was that Cora loved the guy. And yet now we pretty much know it was Cora's suggestion that he be dropped, and not DD's. Go figure.
I guess Cora was just giving Hanley the best possible chance to prove himself and while not exactly failing, failed in accordance with what the contract cost this year--and esp next year. He's gone because unless he hit with power and average, he needed to be gone. It was another failed signing.
