    I was fool enuf to try mowing my lawn today... what a mistake. Took about 2 years off my life. (92 here now and 50% humidity)

    Yanks should lose tonight, so we have a chance to equalize them in the loss column... for the first time in a very long time.

    Gotta think that the Nunez choice has to do entirely with the trade deadline... as in 'how do we work this out?' Do we move on Gennett or do we prioritize a relief pitcher as in Thornberg may be in the lineup in the next couple days. What's our biggest need? RP or 2b? Tough decision esp with little time to check out T-berg.

    I read a deadline piece today which predicted that the Yanks would get Cole Hamels (for Drury and a top prospect) while the Sox would get Scooter Gennett (for Chatham and a pitching prospect)

    6 RUNS. Last night the Yanks pulled their starter at exactly this point. Let's see if we follow suit.

    Explanation for Sale's thinness: his grandfather, a known swimmer was 6'4" 143 through most of his life. So, Chris, the huge eater, has improved on him by quite a bit.

    He gets Monday off too. So tomorrow he pitches no matter what.

    It's such a top-heavy American League this season: Boston, NY, Houston, Cleveland and the only question is will the 5th team be CA or Seattle? And of course the big question: will NY or Boston be forced into the Playoff game. Not much of a season for most of the league in terms of interest. I don't know if it's ever been this one-sided... and so early in the season.

    The Rays could sweep the Yanks because tomorrow it's Snell against German. Snell is one of their 2-3 real starters, and is their very best. Hurrah for the Rays, on their own behalf, and on our own.

    I guess this is why we carry 13 pitchers... any team that has a knuckler in the starting rotation must carry one extra pitcher.
