  1. I hope he doesn't go with Wright come hell or high water just to rest his pitchers.
  2. If they bring in a righty, we already have 6 left-handed bats in this lineup, and thus we're set up to win.
  3. They might, but the whole point is that many of the Yanks hitters have been under-performing... so these two rookies can take a breath when the big boys return to form, and what's more Scranton is loaded with good hitters that the Yanks can call on anytime (terrific hitting depth)
  4. True, and in a sense we're only solid (offensive standpoint) at rf, lf, ss, and dh. Third and First being at least a bit questionable.
  5. When Fernando Rodney gets two saves in two nights at your expense, you know you've got a problem.
  6. Minny knows about insurance runs... wish we had gotten one in the 6-3 lead game over Seattle.. 6 runs in an inning and we put offense on autopilot.
  7. I was thinking that Betts might save us in the 9th, but now at 4-1, I think Porky is right on.
  8. Well, we're all set up for the 9th... 6-8 hitters and Bradley should anyone get on.
  9. Wait till they get some close-down starter... to go with all that great hitting depth (look at their Scranton team) and relief power.
  10. I was just about to say this. Also Eastern teams have the more travel friendly schedules than most other teams. Fatigue may be a factor but why... no extra-inning games etc
  11. Stanton his a two out, 0-2 pitch in the 9th for a walk off home run.
  12. Well, there's no hind-sight for some of us, because we called it before any walk was given (on the game forum). No manager would bring in the newly arrived Scott in this context. None. Esp right after a day off (i mean how much rest does this effing team need?) and just after tying the game at 2-2 in the top of the 8th. It's time for the your shut down guy, who 85% of the time (Kelly) will come through. Scott needs to come in for the first time in a blowout or in the 5-6th innings.
  13. He was probably pissed because he was passed over. And then had to go with 2 guys on.
  14. Yeah and this after a DAY OFF. What s***.
  15. Man, I so agree. What to hell!!!
  16. Well, better than a damn loss.
  17. Yeah, his knee is probably keeping his hitting down bay about 25-30 points, and hurting his fielding a little too, but he's healthier than Pedey, so he plays. Like Cora, I like him.
  18. Now, we gotta get around to Betts and Co. for Rally Time in the 9th.
  19. Our 4 killer B's are coming up, followed by Martinez. This should be a scoring inning.
  20. Devers, I believe, has the highest number of at bats.... so he's been a work horse. Very few rest days.
  21. It's even worse for Jacob DeGrom. Todd Frazier actually went up to him after his last 1-0 game and offered his apologies on behalf of the team for failing him in game after game.
  22. At least Nuney has been consistent. His average all season long has been between .244 and .250. So, how's Pedroia doing?
  23. If true, we'd better get another right hand batter to use against Steve Paxton in Oct. But de Grom won't go cheaply... not to the Yanks.
  24. I think we can thank Juan Soto for beating the Yanks three times since coming up. They have another kid even better than him (CF) still in the minors, so maybe it's so-long to Harper.
