I think that when you win an unprecedented three straight A.L. East titles and one World Championship , it should be considered a success . No real need to follow up with " but , but this , that and the other thing. -

I think the question is : Would the Red Sox have been better off if Dombrowski did not make the trades that he did ? To me the answer is a resounding , " No Way . " Knowing what we knew then and what we know now , I would absolutely make the trades all over again. -
Pretty good . An underrated flick was " Carny " with Gary Busey , Robbie Robertson and a young Jodie Foster.

How often do these comparisons of unproven kids to the greats of the game ever work out ? Very , very seldom . I am old enough to remember when Faye Throneberry and Gene Stephens were " the next Ted Williams ." Uh , I don't think so . There have been a few " next Pedros " , but all have come up short .

Houck , Chavis and Dalbec are the products of the Sox' " decimated " farm . " Little " Deivi Garcia is the pride and joy of the Yank's bumper crop . LOL . LOL. That 's what happens when you have a few pencil neck geeks making the player evaluations .

I am not the least bit impressed with the Yankee's latest phenom , Little Deivi Garcia . He looks like just one more Pedro wannabe who will never live up to it . There are a ton of high school pitchers with better velocity.

The consensus is that the pitching staff is in need of improvement . I am scratching my head trying to figure out how trading Eovaldi helps to achieve that . Have not come up with anything yet .

That game was a heart - breaking , gut - wrenching , soul - crushing defeat . Well , at least it would have been if it mattered at all in this wretched season . As it is , it is just one more disappointing loss . P.S. Closing ain't easy.

You just need the guys who can fill your needs . Quality not quantity . Especially a quantity of overrated , never will be any good jabronis .

He looked very good. Dalbec looks good . Not giving up on Chavis . Also Casas , Mata , Song , Duran . Maybe a couple of others . Probably nothing will change the views that some have . But I don't think the cupboard is quite as bare as some say it is.

I think that results are the most important thing . That is why we have scoreboards and standings of the clubs . Otherwise, we tend to succumb to favoritism and our own particular biases. We will have our favorites and our not so favorites. We will give our favorites credit for anything positive and blame the negative on someone else . And the reverse for our not so favorites. And that's okay. Human nature. But I think it is better and more fair to just look at the old scoreboard. No excuses, no rationalizing, no spin , no speculation . Just the results.
