    If Thronburg can't come back and pitch effective like he did with the Milwaukee, this will be one of the worse bullpens in baseball. If him and Smith come back and pitch good they will be fine. We will see what happened yesterday more and more. This will keep happening until roles become more defined. It's just typical Joe Kelly can't throw strikes consistently under pressure. He's so up and down. IMO the last guy you want in there with runners on base.

    Game is PPD. Will be made up on April 13th 2:05 PM. I just saw on dirtdogs.com that Farrell, may still go with Wright on Friday and Erod on Saturday. Go with Porcello on Sunday. I guess he is trying 2 put Erod between Wright and Porcello. Nothing set in stone yet. They could change their mind though.

    If Moreland got injured in the game and Hanley not being able in the field at first base, Farrell may have thought Selsky was better suited for 1B in a pinch. IMO..Selsky worked out there for a little.

    The only thing I don't understand is why Kimbrel screws around with his breaking ball so much. If they have trouble catching up with 98 , why is he most of the time throwing that breaker in the dirt. It always hits someone. Go after him with the gas. I understand throwing the batter off balance or the eye level thing. I get it.

    Agree. The pen is a worry spot for me. I hope it's minor. As for TT , i have no idea what his program was but he can't rushed back. The player i would like back ASAP is Carson Smith. He's tossing and throwing on flat ground. But that is a month of June plan before he comes back. As you know teams have different programs.

    That's fair. But if Vazquez is recovered from his injury he may be better on D. He had a very quick release. That's why they are high on him. I just think Vaz/ Swihart are the future of the team. I agree with you a tad. I agree Leon should start for the time being. What is good for the TEAM.

    He had the dead arm. He was shut down, I thought for three weeks. He pitched a good inning the other day. But he was a scratch and couldn't go again. They thought he might still be ready for the season opener. They may say conditioning but who knows. I understand your logic. I guess we shall see.

    if it's the Leon the first two months... Yes . If it's the Leon the last four weeks of the regular season he hit 0.44.. No The pitchers are comfortable with him calling the game so that's all good for now. I just hope he wasn't a player they should have sold high on. IMO

    I doubt you could get a decent BP arm for Leon. If they could they might have already done it. The way DD gets pitching unless it's Sale it usually ends up on the DL.

    Thornburg will more likely be placed on the DL... WEEI.COM This is not surprising but very disappointing. They traded Shaw and a decent/ maybe good prospect and we get our prime setup man injured. I guess Kelly gets the eighth for now. Or the old mix and match manager moves.
