A horrendous trade. A dumb trade. They had the leverage on Lackey for the league mini at 500,000 to 1M. He blew that one. I think Kelly though might salvage some of the deal.

I know I'm crazy, I think his real value is behind the plate. For the Red Sox or a potential trade down the line. I don't think he will hit for enough power to man that spot in the infield. Let's face it , the way Leon came back to being himself and Vazquez being up and down the whole year, I would try and give him one more look behind the plate. IMO

Robertson has 2 @ 24 M on his contract. Same as Kimbrel I thought. Robertson could be had if you give up some mid level prospects. He gives up a lot of homeruns, keep that in mind. Moon has them with Frasier. But what do you do with Panda.

IMO Clay will be here next year. The cost is reasonable. If anything for depth reasons. We know what he is, we know what kind of pitcher he is, we know he will be on the DL at some point. We know they will be a stretch he pitches great and bad. IMO he stays. Plus if they let him go on a contract year and wins 15 and era in the high3 or low 4 , do you take that chance... I'd say no. IMO

I don't know about Moon's guide.... Bill James handbook might be a better fit. Not always 100% on the money but 75%. See Bell , you brought my evil ways out. lol. I hate when my teams lose.. I understand its a part of life... but I don't care lol

I think JBJ has a better chance of hitting 260/270 .. Leon will be lucky to hit 230 next year. I want Vazquez behind the plate. He's had a year to knock off the rust from his past injury. If he has to play winter ball that's fine as well. I would like Swihart as the back up. When they put him in LF it was a mistake. They both should split the time behind the plate. His value is at catching. If Vazquez hits 230 fine , he's young go with him. I would only trade JBJ in a package with other prospects for a Sale like pitcher. If not he stays which is cool as well. IMO Vazquez/Swihart if healthy and they will be, should catch.

I'll be rooting for the Cubs. They have a great team. They are on the way of sweeping the Giants. Would love to see Theo and company break the jinx. I think they will.

Agree you need some pop in that situation. Won't be able to string hits along against Miller.If your hitting hill they should have left Holt up.

Just didn't understand using Hill in that spot. Sorry made no sense. The funny thing with any bat discipline he gets the walk.

Pomeranz gives up his homerun ball a game. I'm not venting at all, so don't take this the wrong way. But Pomeranz had one good relief outing in the last game against the Jays where 2 balls got caught at the warning track, and they thought he could pitch out of the pen. I understand he did it before, but was and still is a iffy move.

Do you think if it's a run one ball game later on in the game ,will Farrell hit for Leon and Bradley with Young and Shaw. Sometimes you have to take a chance.
